Most annoying enemy you've ever encountered?

When I say enemy, I don't mean a boss, or someone/something you only encounter a few times, or someone/something you only encounter under certain conditions. I mean every day does that you encounter during your travels. Btw, wild pokemon are acceptable, but trainers are not due to only fighting them once (with the exception of games that allow to challenge them again via an item).

I have a few to mention that annoy me. Assassins from the Batman Arkham games, the Flood and Archraven unversed from Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep, Great Malboro from Final Fantasy X, and Glinthawks from Horizon Zero Dawn.

Assassins annoy me because sometimes they'll dodge your attacks and when they attack you aren't sure if they'll go for a single strike or a flurry of strikes and this messes up my free flow when in combat.

The Flood are the Unversed equivalent of the Shadow heartless only they are faster and sink into the floor more often. The Archracen is annoying to me due to how high it tends to fly, making it hard to land hits on with Terra.

The Great Malboro has one thing that makes it more annoying than its Calm Lands counterpart, it has first strike. Due to this, if you encounter one inside Sin or the Omega Ruins and you yourself don't have first strike, it will launch it's Bad Breath at you causing confusion, darkness, and poison.

I HATE Glinthawks! Their flight speed makes it difficult to hit them and as you draw back your bow while they fly in place, you'll end up either getting hit with their ice balls or another one will attack you before you can fire at the first one.

Incendiary Ninjas in Ninja Gaiden master ninja mode. They are the cheapest and most unforgiving enemy I have encountered in any game. And they actually die pretty easily once you get a few hits on them. But they swarm you and are super quick to light you up with incendiary shurikens to blow you into the air.

Skeletons in Minecraft. They used to be so easy to deal with, they'd just stand their and fire at you like turrets, but then they updated the skeleton AI to make them behave more like soldiers in a Call of Duty game, so now they're just assholes to deal with if you're not prepared. Especially when they spawn in on trap horses so you're surrounded by four of them at once.

Skeletons in Minecraft.

If you're just barely starting out, yes. Luckily, they are trivialized by shields.

Probably the Risen in Guild Wars 2 when it first came out. There were areas with a lot of them clustered together and they had a lot of skills that pulled and pushed you around. Often you would walk into a mob of them and then just get bashed around for ages before you could even begin to fight.

There were ways of blocking them, but because of the frequency and volume, and just getting caught off guard sometimes, it was pretty pointless trying... They did in the end patch them so there was fewer and took away some of their obnoxious skills.

Don't think I've ever really been annoyed by any enemy as much as them.

If an enemy is just hard it's not the enemy that annoys me, I end up annoying myself because of the failed attempts. If I think an enemy is being unfair though, that's when they annoy me.

It's gotta be wild moonrays, hands down. Devs must have been feeling particularly sadistic one day to decide to program those in.

Aside from that, I gotta say the birds from Ninja Gaiden 1 (NES). They swoop in fast, they knock you back, you get knocked into pits and die or you get ping-ponged around which in turn triggers the bird to respawn because of the horrible programming that results in infinitely respawning enemies when their spawn point is near the edge of the screen. Not to mention in most levels they deal more damage than the rest of the enemies.

The gecko/chameleon enemies in botw are pretty annoying. They are pretty dam quick.

Only thing worse is the lighting bats. Or the goddam centaur like enemy.
