Where the past still shines

Just spent a few hours browsing wayback machine, looking at who I used to be

Childhood is a funny thing. It disappears so suddenly but it feels like it was the longest most meaningful part of your life. I spent a few hours scanning The Legend of Zelda, Ocarina of Time, looking for my old self who posted by this name. Along the way I saw many familiar names, most notable being Samual Prime who would be the namesake of "Sam's Chat". There was also Lynnac, goku7, Link G.T., Maria lover, and so on. I didn't recognize the child making my posts. They were so upbeat and different and at times absurd. Childhood really isn't just about being free of responsibility. It's also a state of mind, where everything has a purpose and is interesting. I think we can all recapture that within ourselves.

"Time passes, people move... Like a river's flow, it never ends. A childish mind will turn to noble ambition. Young love will become deep affection."

Maria lover and especially Samuel prime are still around incidentally.

The OOT forum was where I started on GT too, many many moons ago. Back then I went by Man_Of_The_Pika.

If you ask a few people le sjws already started influencing the site. Better watch out, the sjw brigade could strike at any moment... they are social justice WARRIORS after all...

Anyone remember that message board where there were sonic / star wars crossover role plays?

I spent a lot of time there in like 2005-2007. A few of us started message boards of our own, all of which died slow and painful deaths.

I guess there isn't much roleplaying here now?

I remember being so disappointed that the entire website (and all the posts) wasn't archived.

It's really sad seeing portions of the site and knowing there were so many fun and crazy times you'll only ever be able to remember.

Maybe it's better that way though. It's precisely as you said:

As to recapture, please inform me if you find a healthier and less expensive workaround than playing SNES on MDMA. X(

Weird, I've never managed to find myself in the wayback machine. I was MOST active in 2004-2006 and haven't popped up in the time frames that happened to be crawled. I hope I find myself soon!
