I can't really remember that series at this point, but I mean, the Lakers were a popular team with some of the most popular players. Of course they got the benefit of officiating. Although it should be noted that Shaq never benefitted the same way that Kobe did (centers rarely get the star treatment from officials that guards do.)

Game 3 rom Harper made the go ahead game winning two point jumper from the baseline and then both teams turned the ball over the ensuing play and then Kobe blocked sabonis shot at the very end by hit his hand too but no foul was called. Scottie pippin slammed the towels in the locker room after Kobe made the game winning block.
Game 7 the lakers rallied down 16 points at the beginning of the fourth quarter but after they tied it up shaq blocked sabonis shot but also hit hit atm but no foul was called. A few plays later sabonis picked up his 6th personal foul which left the blazers without their tallest and best defender imo which I guarantee would have prevented that epic alley hippo that Kobe set up for him the next few plays which shaq dunked in I think Rasheed wallace’s face. There was also another foul missed I believe. Check YouTube in case you want to learn more of this nostalgia.
