I will likely go through each and every one of these in the next month. Thank you for posting such a large list. I feel bad for 2011, it really was a shitty year for music all around. Are any of these female vocals? I love metal with female vocals.

long live the king

Obscure Sphinx has a female vocalist. I also recommend iwrestledabearonce (mathcore) for female vocals. Daisy Chainsaw is also good, but they're punk/noise rock and not very close to metal.

Blotted Science, Ocrilim, Animals as Leaders, Cloudkicker and Behold the Arctopus are instrumental only, if that piques your interest.

2011 apparently sucked, but 18 September 2007 was one of the best days ever, seemingly.

I do too. Delain, Nightwish, Evanscense, and Within Temptation. Blackbriar and Epica are new to me. Although, metal is still new to me so I’m not sure if there just considered as rock or not.

Okay, so they are considered Symphonic Metal

Eagle hates metal cas, he thinks it is screamo shit and not actually using your voice. He HATES three days grace. He doesn’t think it is rock at all. Do they actually have piano/keyboardists and saxophonists and violinists in metal bands?
