Nintendo and Nvidia partner with IQiyi to bring Wii games on the Nvidia Shield
Posted: Posted December 5th, 2017 by ShadowFox08

According to twitter user Daniel Ahmed, Nvidia Shield is coming to mainland china, and specifically games like Twilight Princess, Super Mario Galaxy, New Super Mario Bros, Punch Out, and Metroid Prime will be playable on the Nvidia Shield, in HD resolution! Twilight Princess and New Super Mario Bros are running in 1080p in this video
See this guy's twitter. He's a legit source:

The Nintendo Switch's hardware is based off the Nvidia Shield, which uses the Tegra X1 hardware, with the only difference being 1 more GB of RAM on Switch(4GB vs Shield's 3GB). What does this mean for the Switch in regards to VC? Noone knows. I wouldn't keep my hopes up too high, but its pretty sweet to sweet to see emulations(or actual ports) of wii games. There is rumored to be a Nintendo direct next month though, so maybe we'll hear something soon...

It would be nice if Nintendo added support for external DVD drives to the Switch so you could play Wii U, Wii and GameCube games. I feel like it wouldn't be that hard to implement and the Switch should be powerful enough to support the emulation.

Wll for one, they would need to have the same CPU architecture(and chip)to run them..

Ok, so it looks like this is only available in China so far?

Yeah, specifically on the Nvidia shield in China. I think these games are emulators.. Or perhaps they did actually port them on there. But no dvd drive.

Is the Nvidia Shield that much more popular over there than other places I wonder?
