If I had that kind of money to be throwing around for someone on GameTalk, it would be going to a far better use than this.

1. Get a used PS2 for cheap if you don't already have one.

2. Download the rip (not the rom) and burn it onto a disc

3. Play it in the ps2.

only later models starting with SCPH-500xx are DVD+RW and DVD-RW compatible and all the ones i see on ebay all are ntsc which would mean i'd need to by a step-up step-down voltage converter and shipping would be expensive too

Well I don’t know what to tell you Brandy, but I wouldn’t pay $350 for a game. Let alone a PS2 game made in 2006.

i'd rather have this game then a ps4 xbox one or a switch and i can say that quite honetlsy.

Well time to get a job or start selling the things you currently have.

I rarely pay $60 for a game my self. But if you think you will enjoy it go right ahead.

Well then as S.o.h. just said, you'll need to find yourself a job and sell some other games to get the money. Why you would want to pay that much for a game is beyond me though.

The only time I personally paid more than $60 for a game was for Resident Evil 6.... limited edition which came with all the resident t evil games up to that point.

I paid $110 total. It was a steal imo. But I'm one of the few who actually enjoyed that game.

I am well acquainted with the desire to spend unconscionable sums of money on old games that enjoy some combination of desirability and a limited release. Survival horror is not my thing, but Rule of Rose seems to have both of these things in excess: It's an obscure, quirky Japanese horror title that was withheld from various markets and shunned by publishers over ostensibly obscene content. It even has good cover art. The aftermarket price reflects this perfect storm of circumstances, and if you want a physical copy I wish you luck in finding one for a more reasonable price. In this regard I've learned that patience and carefully monitoring the ebay marketplace can eventually pay off, but you'll probably pay three figures for it one way or another.

This is the sort of situation that makes emulation very compelling, and even as a long time collector I can say that $350 is well outside my tolerance level.

Whats the most youve lost on a coin toss video game? and was it worth it?

Unless I'm forgetting something, I think it was 75 bucks for Dracula's Curse on Famicom. I mean, it's difficult to really justify that kind of money on a single cart (with box and manual, mind), but it's a game I love and I'm happy to have it.

There are a couple of titles that I've considered breaking the 100 dollar mark to get, but I've yet to actually commit to that. My collection is quite large but very little of it is worth much individually, and my most valuable games tend to be those that I bought for the original MSRP before any secondary market inflation.

If I was you I’d spring for the Switch, but as someone who has the Wii U version of the game I can you can’t go wrong with it. There are many other good games on the Wii U also.

yes it was withheld from many markets thats why the pal version is so 300+ and mostly people form italy and german are the sellers. the ntsc version is 200 because it was realised in NA with no censoring. i been montoring ebay for forever it seems but its seems to stay at 200-300 price range with the exception of the jpn version at 100 but i dont have a japanese ps2 or a transformer (nor speak the language obvisoly).

also to xhin, i agree them with it is better to buy a switch in my opinon, because actually where i live, the wii u has stopped making games, and the switch is only a little more expensive.

A few years ago, I found a near-mint Xenogears in a thrift shop for $2. Still have it on a shelf here. Played it for 15 minutes to make sure that it worked and have just been sitting on it since.

Not too shabby, a used version is still around $30 starting price on amazon with New condition starting around $160

Brandy have you considered looking for a modded PS2 that will let you played burned games? Might be less expensive and allow you to play alot of games that are just too expensive now.

It's not just where you live as Nintendo killed off the Wii U shortly after releasing the Swtich.

yes i thought about it but i dont know how to burn games and ebay doesnt allow counterfeit games to be sold. i actually saw a seller selling a copied version of this game and added to my watch list, so i could look online to see how to play it. but it was taken down the next day. ebay is starting to watch people more carefully now i think for copyrights and stealing and i dont want to get in trouble with ebay for buying fake games. also they may some dumb to some people but i would perfer to have the real version to the fake version even if it was more expensive.

You only need the ISO, a program like imgburn and some blank DVD's to burn a game.

ISO: https://www.emuparadise.me/Sony_Playstation_2_ISOs/Rule_of_Rose_(USA)/151200
Imgburn: https://downloads.tomsguide.com/ImgBurn,0301-3842.html
Trust me, I know emulation is a pain in the butt and you'd rather play it on a PS2. I have done this for many PS1 and Sega Saturn games. Just look on eBay for a modded PS2. Just a quick glance shows them going for $100 here in the U.S. and come with a HDD loaded with games which is much cheaper than the Rule of Rose game and will allow you to play other games without paying a ton of money to price gougers.

I know you live in another country but try this out and ask questions, I'll try to answer them for you.

hmm, i could guess i could try a modded ps2..all this people saying 'Seller does not offer returns' so i guess its a risk in itself. but i guess that my only option, i dont think my cpu can handle the emulation of this game or i would emulate it. i found this https://www.ebay.com/itm/SONY-PS2-PLAYSTATION-2-FAT-CONSOLE-Mod-Chipped-Play-Backups-Imports/192350929449?hash=item2cc9024229:g:7AsAAOSwuOxZ1pAe
