It's been a while since i got an entire website full of people hating on me, so i decided to post this video i found, since i know from experience that bashing a beloved program gets people angry. And, yes, it's a legit video. Feel free to follow along as I have.

my computer can't handle all the trash of discord, so i don't know. I was hoping someone would tell me. If we want to know bad enough, i'll reverse engineer the file.

Every time you talk about your computer it sounds like it's 20 years old.

If I am understanding the video correctly then this is all irrelevant if you just use the browser based version of it anyway?

Pretty much, but discord keeps telling you that you need the app/desktop version, when it's really the exact same version with a few minor settings changed, which then points out precisely what discord does when you're not looking. Just go through the files with a hex editor and you'll find lots of dead domain names, that i presume actually have open ports if we look for them that take in information that discord is collecting from you. The whole deal is pretty seedy (aside from the false advertising they do [my favorite is saying it's somehow "better than teamspeak" then on another page it says it's the first chat application designed for gamers]), and if you look up the financial background, you'll know that when discord goes down, it's going to go down hard. You'll know when this happens when some stole pigeon buys it up. Apparently the owner has a history of doing that. He's got a huge debt to pay, and supposedly they'll never charge for discord. Right.
