I did it. I finally beat Breath of the Wild!

Hard to believe the Switch has been out for so long, but it It only took me 8 months and +165 hours, but I did it. The last boss was kind of underwhelming(I was OP as fuck maxed out with max hearts and stamina) but it was a great game overall. I don't think I've ever spent more time on any single player focused game as I have this game, and quite frankly I feel burned out. lol. I'll probably pass on Skyrim and maybe Xenoblade 2(won't play it for a while, even though I have it preordered). I am thinking about going back and beating xenoblade x and pikmin 3 eventually.

I can finally move on to Odyssey now at least though.

I ended up playing Skyrim for 400+ hours to fully beat it (main quests and all sidequests that I could find). If it took you 20 hours a month for 160 hours then it would take you nearly 2 years to beat Skyrim if you took as long as I did.

Long games mostly escape me now because life doesn't allow me to play more than a couple of hours anymore.

You beat Breath of the Wild before you beat Majora's Mask.

It depends. There's been weeks where I didn't touch the Switch at all, or I just didn't feel like playing botw. I do take my time though, and I invested a lot in beating all the shrines, exploring the whole place, and upgrading and getting most of the armor. But yeah, I can't spend that much time on a game.. lol

Yeah I agree. I have guilt due to adult responsibilities as it is, and I just want to use my time a bit more wisely. With +100 adventure games even more. I feel totally burned out, and don't think I can do another single player game that long, which is why I'm deciding to skip out on Skyrim. I already preordered xenoblade 2, so I think I'll give it a shot eventually. I still have a backlog I feel like I need to beat on older consoles, but just don't have the motivation to do so. lol

Yeaaah, I know. I just don't feel like playing MM. But I do want to beat it, as well as Pikmin 3 aand Xenoblade Chronicles X. I kind of want to put the wii u and 3ds behind me. If only those games were ported to the Switch.

It didn't take me that long to beat Breath of the Wild but it does take quite a while, to explore the lands and go to every shrine you can find, and activate each tower.

Though it did take me at LEAST an hour for each Divine Beast figuring out what to do, and it was by chance that I talked to the person who sells fireproof potions to go to Death Mountain.

Final boss was quite underwhelming. People also complained Kohga was disappointingly easy, but the term I'd use is "refreshingly" after the hell of the Yiga hideout, fighting him is fun and makes up for it.
