Customer Service Rep:

Seriously this should have been a this ages ago. This way, threads with newer replies can stay in plain sight and the most relevant ones stay at the top.

This already exists.

Not what I meant. I meant for each forum since some people only ever check specific forums. Also consider range banning whoever this guy is.

You can sort posts by newest replies within a forum by using the filter under the heading. Choose "hottest" under "list type."

What.

That's not quite the same since it doesn't bump threads but but whatever I guess. I think it would just be better to do this by default. Most forums I've seen already do it by default.

Honestly, i think it's more of a cost-reward issue. People like this site because it models both the good parts and the bad parts of old gametalk. Having to write "cont" at the end of your posts was a pretty common staple of the site.

Moreover, i was just away from the place for two whole days and had no trouble finding the threads i left behind on page 3 of the "Site Feed." Frankly, the place needs so much more before the feature would even be relevant, unless someone were to disappear for a year. It would make more sense to propose it when it were to have more than 10 daily users.

What do you mean? If you sort by hottest, whichever post has been replied to most recently will be at the top.

Can I just chime in and say I prefer my posts to be sorted chronologically? I do not want this feature... though I understand why some might.

Add &mode=hot to any forum or use the filter feature to make it hottest or I think there's even a site setting that makes it the default for all forums.

It isn't going to be the default way of seeing the site for everyone but you have lots of options to make it the default for you.

Yea Vandy's suggestion is exactly what you are asking for. Unless we're all misunderstanding what it is that you want.

how would you prefer?

That's not descriptive enough. I'm not going to entertain the thought if you can't even tell me what's in it for me.

It would be better if threads would bump by DEFAULT is what I meant obviously.
