Your choice of filtered forums is interesting... I can understand one of them but why the other three?

There are 21 Replies

They are forums that tend to fill up the newest replies feed that I am largely uninterested in. I don't play any NIFE games. I am not a fan of Star Wars. I do not watch much anime.

I do occasionally view the unfiltered newest replies just to see what's going on outside of my bubble.

One of my friends tried to get me into Star Wars. I agreed to watch the first movie. I fell asleep about halfway through. And so did he. Some movie!

I feel like I missed the train, and it's too late to get on at this point.

I actually like a new hope more than esb . But I agree with vandy I'm not really a star wars. It's a good bunch of movies don't get me wrong but for it to have the hype it has...

new hope is the best one imo so if you didnt like that you wouldnt like the other ones. (except rogue one was pretty good you might like that one)

Empire Strikes Back has a darker tone, and less slow moments. It's also where all the characters get fleshed out and has the now iconic plot twist that is not a secret to anyone, even those that haven't seen a star wars movie. It is on almost every level better than A New Hope.

its better by those standards. but the subtlety of the first one is what i liked. it was like a road film, but in space, more attetion is given to the characters and the sudden situation they finds themselves in, they same more emotional and i felt for them more in the first one.

I also like A New Hope better--it just has more of that classic feel that I enjoy. But I love both dearly, and the general consensus is that Empire Strikes Back is the better film.

The middle movie is always the best in trilogies, unless they were planned trilogies from the start (*coughobbitcough*)

I think to truly appreciate star wars you have to have seen it as a kid. They're kid movies really. If you appreciate it as an adult it's because you have such good memories of it as a kid that you're willing to sit through the slow pacing and bad dialogue

The original Lord of the Rings trilogy was planned as a 3 movie series, and the Second one was arguably also the best of the series. The problem with the Hobbit is that they made 3 movies based off of 1 book. There is only so much filler that can be added before it gets too bloated.

Apparently I'm the only one that uses the filter feature of newest replies?

I'd argue that the marvel movies are an exception to that rule.

Cap 2 was great!!!! Every 2nd entry in each mcu series has failed to live up to it's predecessor.

Even guardians of the Galaxy 2 falls extremely short. Iron Man 3 is great though.

There's someone who filters out world. Probably everyone.

Oh yeah good point.

I'd argue that the marvel movies are an exception to that rule.

Marvel has a whole giant connected universe thingy going on so they don't count.

Even guardians of the Galaxy 2 falls extremely short.

Yeah I was not impressed with GotG 2. I couldn't tell you what specifically was bad about it though, anything individual was great.

Pirates of the Caribbean. Wasn't planned as a trilogy, first one is the best. (Technically no longer a trilogy but it was a trilogy for a while).

You're the only person I've seen using it with GTX0s new stalker mode. I used to filter stuff sometimes when I was an admin, like if I was just popping on briefly to read stuff I was interested in and didn't want to see any shit... But since then I've just not used filtering & I just ignore any posts that don't interest me.

2 was objectively better than 1. 3 was pretty meh, 4 and 5 slowly made it better again.

Where does this discussion go from here Mariomxhin.

I just like using the word "objectively" as a way of expressing my subjective opinion.
