People seem to be growing bored of the existing NIFE game and also it has a lot of issues. So, I have another short (well, relatively) game in the works. I'll do a bit of work on it and put up a signup post sometime soon.
mode: Fully cooperative. All players are on the same team. Either everyone wins or no one wins.
setting: In a broken-down ship in Space, near some asteroids.
goal: Fix the ship and warp to New Atlantis.
Things that you have to fix in order to get the ship working again:
Hyperdrive -- lets you warp to New Atlantis
Hull -- If this is damaged, then when you warp the ship will be spaghettified. Needs to be fixed.
Antimatter Engine -- Powers the hyperdrive.
Things that are in various stages of disrepair and might be useful but aren't necessarily required
Lights -- don't worry, most of the ship has lighting.
How to Play
Key items are shared between all players, while some items might be player-specific.
There's no combat, so don't worry about that. You might have to throw a spear or detonate a bomb though. You also might get hit by a trap.
Some puzzles can be solved through automatic actions. Some puzzles will require you and your teammates to work together.
Manual actions are very definitely required for solving most of the ship's issues. You can find your own solutions to these issues and so long as it makes sense to me I'll accept it. Similarly, you can circumvent puzzles that require automatic actions through clever manual actions.
I will update manual actions as you make them pretty much. Instead of having rounds, the game flow will depend on your availability and mine, but at a minimum I'll update every 24 hours if I don't have something going on.
Going into space requires you to have a space suit. Once you're in space, all actions are manual including movement. Unless you or the ship is shielded, you'll slowly receive radiation damage as long as you're outside.
If you die, that sucks but there are ways for other players to revive you. You can still participate in cooperative discussion threads until they do.
I'll continue updating the Superpowers game as long as there's interest in it, but it does seem like interest there is waning a lot.
