I wonder if this will affect the favoritism shown towards Halo 3 and Halo 4 in MCC matchmaking.

I don't have Halo 3 digital and my disc copy is at my parent's house or I would try it out. I would imagine Halo 3 will actually be pretty well-populated.

Now only if we could get the original Halo 2 to be bc with online support.

It's such a shame that it's even considered necessary with the MCC existing.

Well I bought Halo 3 digitally and all its dlc so I disagree with you. Can't wait to play it.

Halo 2 had the best online gameplay and the best maps. And I miss the super jump lol

That it's a shame these are being released. I am quite happy.

I didn't say it's a shame they are being released. It makes sense now with the MCC being what it is. But it would not have been necessary if the MCC functioned as it was intended and properly maintained after release. Now, the Halo community will be further fragmented across multiple titles.

Well I was wrong - I do have the digital version of Halo 3. I guess I grabbed it when it was free back in 2013. Installing now! I'll play a few matches later tonight if anyone wants to join.

I will play you. Not sure about tonight but maybe.

First match in and got betrayed and called garbage. Online communities are just awful most of the time. Which is why I play in a solo party so I can't hear the negative things people are likely always saying while I play but I guess that doesn't work for 360 games so I could still hear for this match.

I think there is a setting for the XBOX360 that has voices go through speakers while in a party.

If I'm in a solo party I shouldn't be able to hear anyone except for those in my party - which is no one. The Halo 3 menu has an option to mute all, though, so that's good.

When in the game press the View and menu buttons together to get to the XBOX 360 guide menu, scroll over to settings and then Preferences. Select voice and make sure it isn't set to play through both. If it's on both I think that party chat goes through the headset and game chat will go through the tv speakers. I used to do this trick when used to play Reach back in the day while in a group chat so I could still hear if the other team was talking shit about us but they couldn't hear what we were saying about them.
