Harder Difficulties

Whats a good strategy when playing Mass Effect 2 on the harder difficulties? I find the game is substantially near-impossible. But I know other people can do it so I am just curious what advice you can offer me. Freedom's Progress, the level with the quarians, it's pretty hard. lol

Sooooorry! This is super delayed. Haven't checked here in a long time.

I seem to remember the whole thing about harder difficulties is to play them on New Game Plus.

Otherwise, I found classes with the ability to cast drones to be really helpful in giving me time to recover.

I did get past it actually, I am trying to go through the plague zone now. I am not looking forward to the merc level on omega. I find that level easy to die in on normal difficulties. I am using the drone summoning class.

ME2 had some pretty awful sections on the higher difficulties. The 'air filtering' area early on and the Horizon starport in particular.

Drones are incredibly useful for distracting enemies. I think I had Tali for that and some support skills.

I think I also used the 'machine gun' assault rifle because it had so much ammo capacity. But that might be Soldier only.

Horizon is hell on any difficulty.
