Rooms Host: Add exits, add characters here, add items here

  • Moved the subpanels to the top of the rooms screen.

    At the bottom, below the room exits, you can add new room exits via the given syntax and examples. If you want the relationship to be two ways, add the forward slash and the reverse relationship name, otherwise you're just making a one-way relationship.

  • In the "Characters" and "Items" subpanels of a room, you have the option of adding entirely new characters or items and placing them in there. They are hidden behind + buttons you have to click to show them, to save space.

    Also I know I haven't made any NIFE posts in a while, so here's the status of that:

  • I'm working on an exploration-themed game called "The Ring of Ruin". That's going to be my main advertising point for a few communities I belong to that would be highly interested in the engine, to give them a working example. Yes you guys can totally play it too when it's ready :)

  • Getting documentation written up is going to take some work -- things are at least ready for new players now (including ALL actions), so that's good.

    My plan is more to show potential hosts what NIFE can do and then just let them figure it out / ask questions. Full documentation will come eventually too, but it will take time.

  • I need to work on the Space War game as well, which I'm advertising to a bunch of non-GT people.

    NIFE programming is pretty much on hold right now, though I've done quite a bit of work on Genesis/Mandelbrot as far as notes go. I also have a pretty good idea of how to do character/item instancing, which will make quests better. And I'll continue to polish things as I go.

    I have a week off next week, my plan is to spend some time then untangling the Aliens game I setup. Some of the changes you made have affected some of the stuff I did (like the doors thing made all my machine-based door locks unnecessary and convoluted!). Then get back to actually setting it up.
