This plugin adds Traps which are hidden weapons that attack whoever enters the room, as well as Reflexes which is when a character can attack the first person who enters the room automatically.

  • The panel is pretty straightforward. Choose a room and then you get this screen:

  • The items are limited to items in the room that are weapons or spells.

  • The characters are limited to the characters in a room.

Here's what your auto actions look like:

  • As a player, you can lay a trap for whoever first enters the room. You can place only weapons that are yours that are weapons or spells. When you place a Trap, it gets moved to the room and becomes hidden, so even if someone sees you lay a trap they can't pick up the item and mess up your plans.

NOTE: Anything that you place as a Trap won't work if it has a Cost or Sacrifice associated with it, unless they're set to 0 for whatever reason.

  • You can also click a checkbox to automatically attack the first person who enters the room, whether you're active or not. Note that this ability gets removed if you move to a different room.

  • This is what it looks like when you trigger either type of Trap. Note that there are now "character has entered room" messages that allow for this.

Note that since weapons can have status effects assigned to them, you can set traps that stun people that enter or make them deaf or whatever.

With the traps, it would be nice to be able to place them on objects in the world, like a chest. Also allowing a perception check to see if it's noticed. So like this series of actions could occur...

Chiefsonny tried to open a locked chest

under the hood, perception check greater than needed

You move to open the chest, but stop when you notice that it is trapped

    Chiefsonny disables trap

    under the hood, skill check

Now, one of two things could happen. He could disable the trap and then open the chest safely. Or, as would also happen to a failed perception check, sets off the trap and has poison darts shoot out at him.

Then the reflex thing could come into play and he could maybe dodge.
