Highlights taken from r/halo:

  • Halo 5 is getting 4K update when Xbox One X releases later this year
  • CE: Anniversary, Halo 3, ODST, and Halo 4 are all going backwards compatible
  • All the above BC titles will be LAN capable, including between 360 and XB1
  • All Halo 360 map packs will be free (including Reach)
  • Serina HW2 Leader and the campaign expansion go live this month
  • Yapyap the Destroyer (a grunt) HW2 Leader coming in August
  • Halo 3 throwback playlist for H5 confirmed with "classic" settings and Forge remakes

    And to think I was contemplating selling my X1 and converting to the dark side. (PlayStation)

    And the reference there is that xbox got Yoda and PlayStation got Vader for soul calibur. Lol

    I am most curious to see if this enables other games and maps to be played more in the MCC playlists. Because currently, it's very rare to play a non-H3 map in shared playlists like Team Slayer and BTB.

    Either way, for the first time in a good while the Halo community seems pleased.
