What was up with Zombie Jesus?
Posted: Posted June 20th, 2017 by Ghowilo

Randomly was thinking about the differences about different forms of the undead and it surfaced a long forgotten memory. I was in a Catholic cathedral in Catelania, Sicily looking around and in one of the glass caskets they like to keep dead priests and bishops in, they have a replica of Jesus Christ. His hands and feet had holes and were bloody. But it wasn't your normal replica of Jesus, and thus I dubbed it Zombie Jesus. It looked malnourished, and more than that it's elbows and kneecaps were crushed. And the final, uneasy thing that made me call it Zombie Jesus was that it's skin was green. Not like Hulk green, but a more sickly, vomit green.

Why did they depict him like this? Can you imagine standing next to this thing and worshipping? Very creepy.

I dunno about the green color, but kneecap-breaking seems fairly normal for the Romans. They are, after all, Italian.
