Cas's Update
Posted: Posted June 16th by Castrael

I finally got myself a PC. Everything's a lot easier now but I'll need to find a new chair and monitor though. I'm using a temporary 19inch monitor at the moment. Next week, I'll be getting my wireless mouse and keyboard and hopefully Bose's new Bluetooth speaker since the monitor doesn't have built in speakers. Writing should hopefully be a lot easier.

Haven't been reading (mostly listening to Harry Potter on Audible) or gaming too much. I'm beyond excited for Tokyo Xanadu which is coming out for the Vita June 30th. I took the weekend off for it.

How's everybody else? It's been very hot lately. x.x

I'm okay.

After many long months of doing fuck all back home, the process is finally moving again on my way back to China. Just bought my ticket to Beijing in July. Gonna spend a month and a half going across China, got about ten chicks in five cities that I need to be getting at. Good way to get my Chinese back in order, too.

Gonna go to South Korea for a week to switch visas in September, then start my grad program in Nanjing right after.

But yeah, these days not doing anything but fasting for 15 hours a day, going to the gym a few days a week, playing Fallout 4, and binge watching Orange is the new Black.

Working full time still. Currently taking Pathophysiology which spans 12 weeks throughout the entire summer. This class takes up most of my free time outside of work. I made an 88.75 on my first test so I need to do a bit better on test 2 this weekend.

I submitted my application for my intended nursing program a few weeks ago, but I won't hear anything back until late September. There are two GPAs factored - overall and science. My overall is 3.6 and science is 4.0. I have some Bs and a lone C from years ago that is coming back to haunt me. Prior degree is considered an extra consideration, which I have. Even then, I'm worried that my overall GPA will prevent me from getting in.

Doing some last minute stuff for Maui other than that I'm ready to go. When I get back I have to haul ass and renew my insurance. I move into my new Job after the 4th of July weekend. Once I'm done with that I move back home for a few days before moving to the dorms for a leadership camp.

Somewhere before school starts I might do a trip to Savannah , Las Vegas and Yosemite. I don't think the first two will happen because I'm broke but the last one will.

We're also experiencing a heatwave here in San Diego this past week and next even though San Diego's one of the coolest places in the summer time in terms of temperature (and visitors/tourists of courae)!

My parents took this week off and are currently in Colorado and return home tomorrow evening. I have been having to be supervised by nurses all day and night, three ones that work during different time shifts.

I'm really needing to go see my hand doctor again anf show him the damages that my index fingers have that he needs to fix so that I can play competitive gaming again (mostly speaking in terms of smash bros and Mario kart).

The final theee amiibos for smash bros come out next month and then I'll have all of them but I'll wait till my birthday before I open them up. Also will be getting a switch for my birthday as well. I want to receive voluble presents for my birthday.

Did you watch e3, cas? Nintendo announced so many first party games but only two third party games (skyrim and minecraft). I think that by creating so many first party games is like nintendo's excuse for not marketing third party games onto thwir systems.

My friend did bring his switch to my house with Zelda and I've been letting my friends play it since my fingers don't work well atm and this game is amazing! Such a 3D open world action adventure quest. Such a wide stance!

It's my sisters one year marriage anniversary and they're also on a vacation right now.

My MRI scans are due up soon and I've been continuing chemotherapy and hope that the progress is continuing with Avastin shrinking the tumors in my body.

I received news that someone from the nf2 crew is moving down close to San Diego and she's coming within a week or two. I've been informing her about all of the freeways here and how bad the traffic is. There's even traffic jams right now on the 5 in northern San Diego at 9 o clock at night on a Saturday. Ridiculous. Anyhow I'm very excited that someone is moving down close to my area and she's moving right next to someone else who has nf2.

I'm gonna download overwatch on my pc when my parents return home tomorrow and then join chaolin and night gazer/Irish chick's games as well as anyone else who lets me join their's.

I just started smoking marijuana again because none of these other medicines that I have are stopping my esophagus from drooling, so I have to take pot at night time right before I go bed in order to mkethe body calm down and not activate anything, and sedate me. My night nurses are allowed to give me it too but I can only be given this when I go to bed because if I take it any other time I will gain.a higher tolerance and then I'd be screwed because nothing else can prevent my mouth from drooling.

Some of my friends and cousins are getting married this year but I won't be able to attend them because I can't stop my mouth from drooling all the time. It builds more and more every second. I guess l just have to watch their weddings via live stream.

After the laryngetomy surgery that I had three years ago I was supposed to practice swallowing exercises but I didn't want to because I wanted to just be fed through my feeding tube. My mom told me that the doctor said that if I didn't practice fheb I would lose my ability to swallow. I thought that the doctor was exaggerating a worst case scenario, but it turns out he was dead serious with this matter, and now I can't swallow my saliva which I constantly drool because my tongue and throat muscles are completely paralyzed even when I try to take big gulps.

I'm in two different Facebook group chats with gametalk members in them. One is a Christian group chat and one is a gaming group chat oh and I'm also in the discord gametalk server. A lot of people are on it. Would you like to join in as well cas?

Pardon the problem that I previously posed for you. I apologize for doing what I did in regards to you and now that you made your post and explained everything, I'm all content with this matter.

Still no tattoo yet I assume? You said that you didn't have one when you made your last post.

Hopefully with your new computer you'll be able to write up an epic story which you can share with all of us.

How is school and work going for you?

Im in Maui right now. Literally looking at the ocean from my condo while typing this. So far its okay. I am sleep deprived, jet lagged and over all exhausted so I havent been able to enjoy the fact that I am out here. Things will be better after a good nights sleep.

How's everybody else? It's been very hot lately. x.x

The temperature has definitely has spiked here also.

So far I am okay all things considered. I have a couple who moved in, in the apartment above mine with a noisy kid. Not much can be done as

1. The summer here - no School
2. The noise is primarily during the day.
3. It's a kid. They don't give two flips about nothing.

Also work has been a sham. I got kicked out of the chat team because of internal politics, and go sent back to the phones. The manager I was under when I was hired was a joy to work under, and he could read my style so he left me alone (unless I screw up like a moron which I expect that of course). Unfortunately he's going to a different department and I am getting stuck with one of the garbage managers (there were two crap mangers in the chat team I was on one being the boss that kicked me out and this other suck bag). I am also working 2nd shift (2 pm to 11 pm CST). It's not too bad, though I rather enjoy my evenings at home.

All because the job situation my motivation has taken a massive piss and I don't care about doing a whole lot of things.

I am currently looking for a new job that actually forces me to use the stuff I learned and my expertise rather than being like, "Oh sorry caller this is out of scope".

Summer in Florida is summer as usual: heavy thunderstorms, power outages, flooded roads, stuff like that. Which gives me more excuse to stay inside and watch Netflix :P

Work is stressful, as usual, but I've finally got a tight grip on things. Soon I'll be making a few presentations to one of our graphics guys from the UK. It's not my first presentation, but it is the first one where I'll be laying down the groundwork of basic knowledge for our department. I'm a little nervous about how it will go because he didn't start out as a graphics professional. I guess I'll have to play it by ear when he arrives.

I recently reconnected with one of my college friends who moved to Texas. We both love animation, art, and games. I had a newfound interest in the show My Little Pony, and since he really didn't want to get into the show and he wants me to get into one I normally wouldn't watch (Futurama), we agreed on an episode exchange. Every night or so for the last week we watched two episodes of both shows while over the phone. The start of Futurama is surprisingly good (though later seasons seem quite sloppy, and not quite up to par with The Simpsons' heyday). I have developed a fairly surefire method to convert anyone into a Brony. I'll probably explain it elsewhere.

Futurama is great. Good stuff on the surface - and lots more subtle humor for people of a bit higher intellectual standing.

It largely depends on the episode. I noticed the first episodes were much better executed than the ones I saw in the later seasons. Futurama debuted at the same time The Simpsons started sucking, and some of that later Simpsons trotting and skipping remains omnipresent throughout. I saw the Slurm factory episode, and the whole thing was just one big pastiche to Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory, a movie I've seen and remembered vividly several times. The jokes felt rather thin. They just don't stick and they don't have much weight. Maybe it works better for a longtime fan, but not for someone being first introduced to the show.

Bicycling and swimming at the beach is what my family and relatives did in Maui to celebrate my grandparents 50th year marriage anniversary in winter of 2006, the same time that resident evil 4 came out. U fortunately I wasn't able to do any activities while there in Maui because I had a FUCK of a lot of homework for my three AP courses as a junior in high school (English language, US history, and biology) I couldn't enjoy the scene and do anything fun there to celebrate my grandparents 50th year anniversary. You'll love it for sure SOH. If you're on the South Island then you're in the rain shadow region which means that the surrounding mountains block the pathway of wind producing storms, keeping the area as rain free as much as possible, even though the humidity is very high. It is very hot in the summer months and stays hot all night long even though the sunset is as early as 6 pm because it's relatively close to the equator, which receives the same amount of sunlight as darkness (12 hours each), because the sun doesn't move, unlike at the poles alwhoch are all or nothing depending on the season.

They do have what's called a luau which is a special winter feast with everyone in the area. The local native Americans there performs special acts on stage.

They have special exhibits of the volcanoes in the area and you can go on a helliclpter ride to see all of the remnants of the geology in the area.

If you get the chance to you should take a bus tour up to Manau Kea. It's a mountain peak about 15,000 in elevation. You get to see all of the stars and everything in the sky. Beware you'll have to go take pictures quickly while on the top, because there's only 40% oxygen in the area because of its super high elevation.

You should go on a canoe/boat cruise with the native people there. They go pier fishing and sailing across the island. When I was there the first time (before my grandparents 50th anniversary), they caught a 40 pound fish!

If I hadn't suffered what I have been for the past 5 years, I'd be with you right now, SOH. The hotel room that my grandparents stayed at happened to have a PS3. Wonder if RE4 was one of the games they had there.

Castrael, you should go to Maui too if you have the time, money, and means to.

Sorry, I've been away from the site again. Mainly cuz of work. I did see E3 and I'm really excited for Xenoblade 2. 3DS is dying on me, so is the Vita. I haven't really been playing too much. Just got some amiibos for Zelda. Amazon was in stock again. I got the Link (Archer) and Link (Rider). Haven't pre-ordered the Champion amiibos yet. I'm slowly losing interest in gaming tbh. I'm saving up money for the Drone Spark.

Zelda is amazing. Friend got past the great plateau. It's very hard to counter attack.

There's tons of games coming out this holiday season cas. Don't give up on gaming on any system.
