What do you guys think of Chloe as a player character? I really wasn't very fond of her in the original although I could appreciate her attachment to Max and the reason why she was a bit of a dipshit.

I am sad max won't be returning in a primary role and I was hoping Rachel would be the player character in this game.

Can Chloe be redeemed as a likable protagonist?

I think playing as Chloe will help us grow attached to her

I already thought she already did grow into a likable character, myself.

I'm mostly curious how exactly they are going to tie it in. Will they work in a time warping element again? Or will it just be a general TellTale style of just choices and point and click action?

The developers have said there would be no time manipulation mechanics

See, that could be trouble. It makes complete sense, of course, but I thought the time rewind dynamic was one of the things that made it stand out from stuff like TellTale.

I think it would be more Clever if Max's decision to save Chloe actually causes 13 year old Chloe to inherit Max's power. There has to be time travel or some other super power that works well has a rp mechanic. I don't like telltale games.

At 35 bucks for the special edition, the art in the game alone is worth it. I hope they still keep the story art based.

I'm sure there'll be some kind of gimmick in this one. Also I feel like the atmosphere of Life is Strange was different enough from Tell Tale games.

I mean, you're right. The atmosphere, characters, tone, and themes separate it from TellTale as well. But mechanically, the time stuff as a means for puzzles is what made it function differently as well.

It's a for sure purchase for me but out of pure principal I won't preorder. It's a guilty pleasure game.

Not for me. Apart from the fact I don't believe in the concept of "guilty pleasures," I genuinely loved Life Is Strange. I also actually enjoyed Remember Me (even though it was not by any means an amazing game - I had fun playing it, which is fine!) I also don't generally believe in "preorder," but it's definitely a day one purchase. If they release a soundtrack as a preorder bonus though....

I played through it on 360 and X1 and got double the gamer score. XD

For me it's a guilty pleasure because I relate to the main character really well. I am kind of quiet and nosy and wish I could redo a lot of things I do. Max is basically female me. Artsy and doesn't fit in.

I pre-order stuff just so I don't have to drop the full 60 bucks all at once

Digital preorders have you drop all the money at once.

I will ALWAYS prefer physical copies over digital

I do for Nintendo stuff because it retains it's value. But for most games they drop to 10 bucks pretty quick either way

I mean, that's a big part of why I like it too. Why does that make it a "guilty pleasure" and not just a "pleasure (no modifier)"?
