We're gonna need a bigger boat.
Supergirl

So I've started binge watching Supergirl on Netflix and I'm really liking it. The actors all play their parts really well and I'd say my favorite character is a tie between Hankshaw and Cat Grant.

I think the Flash is the weakest of all the DC shows. It literally uses the same plot for all 3 seasons

I started with Arrow around 2013. Then The Flash came up and for a while I stayed up to date with both. I stopped midway through season 4 Arrow and season 2 Flash. I just finished those seasons last week and started on Legends season 1 a few days ago. I will move onto Supergirl next. Then I will painfully move around and sync up Arrow, Flash, and Legends to watch the yearly crossover episode. Then hopefully by the end of summer have completely caught up with all the shows.

If I had to just choose one to watch I think I would watch Arrow. It's the most dramatic. I'd probably choose Legends next because it's the most fun.

I just finished Flash season 2, haven't started season 3 yet... But I disagree? Aside from having a speedster villain in both seasons there's nothing else in common with the plot.

The main plot of Season 1 is Reverse-Flash wants to get back to his time and he needs Barry to do it.

The main plot of Season 2 is an evil dude from another universe just wants to be evil (and be the best).

The only other common thread is that he "has to get faster". But that's just what you should expect from a show about a guy who runs fast, they're always gonna have this notion of "I need to get even faster"... The villains have to get "more powerful" to provide a challenge to the hero, so the hero has to get better. For Flash better is faster.

Anyway since arrow season 1-3 are included with Amazon prime that's next on my watching list, not sure which I'll watch after that seeing as the UK versions of Netflix & Prime barely having any of these shows on them. Of course you can buy them on prime, but then what's the point in paying the subscription if you have to buy shit.

I'm just saying I still like Arrow the best. Now with The Flash and Legends constantly destroying and rebuilding timelines it feels somewhat overwhelming. I'd just rather Green Arrow protecting his city and potentially the world at times. I will admit HACK EVERYTHING gets ridiculous at times and the Oliver/Felicity thing gets tiring too. I dunno what was wrong with season 4. People say it sucks but I enjoyed it. I do wish they would stop doing the whole "showing the past" thing, dunno if that's in season 5 but it tends to take away from the action when they use it.

This is all from a season 4 perspective. No season 5 spoilers yet (plz).

I just recommend watching arrow season 1 and 2 and stopping there.

I also just caught up on season 2. I'm happy with the show so far, but in addition to the speedster villains, I can't help but notice that some aspects of the story are becoming tropes. For example, I already find myself trying to predict who is going to be the next "Claudius"/Dr. Wells in season 3. It's too early for me to judge, though.

Has anyone else been following Gotham? Admittedly, the first season isn't that spectacular, which is too bad because things pick up in seasons 2 and 3.

I enjoyed the Flash season that I saw, especially the episode where Mark Hamil reprises his role as the Trickster, but it's also a show I can't imagine binge watching. I watch two episodes in a row and I get soooo bored. Drawn out melodrama for teenagers doesn't exactly do well with me for 45 minutes at a time. Arrow is the worst in that regard.

Gotham, I just thought was bad and the entire premise was inherently uninteresting to me.

But, it is still cool to me that these things exist and people are into them. I'll always have my comics, so it doesn't matter if the shows aren't things I like as well.

I watched Gotham season 1 when it first aired, always meant to watch season 2 but just had other stuff on at the time and haven't really gone back to it yet.

I assume you'd recommend season 2 based on your comment there?

Yes, I would definitely recommend the second season if you're still interested in the show after season one.

I say Flash is the weakest due to the reoccurring story. An evil speedster comes. They're faster than Barry. Barry gets trained by a Wells mentor. The bad guy is someone close to Barry. Barry eventually beats the evil speedster, but the season ends with something being screwed up. Also time travel shenanigans

So I'm caught up on Supergirl and I really enjoyed it. I'm still not a Mon-El/Kara shipper, but I do think they make a good team. Cat Grant has become my favorite character and I loved watching her become the person she is by season 2's end. I also like how straight forward the plot is and it doesn't try to throw you through 5 different twists along the way. I'd say my only complaint was I definitely feel like this is my new favorite Arrowverse show

I agree. For their first crossover of that size I though it was pretty good
