Engine Room, Round 24

The loud hum of the damaged hyperdrive is the first noise you hear, it seems to be active. You then realise you can't hear the chugging, grinding noises of the regular engines. It seems those too have been damaged and would need the ship be taken to a spacedock for full repair.

There is no power to this room.

Noteworthy Features
  • Hyperdrive Generator
    A massive cube like block of machinery. It hums while active.

  • Starboard Engine
    The mechanical engine section that helps run the starboard engine.

  • Port Engine
    The mechanical engine section that helps run the port engine.

  • Engineering Consoles
    A console that controls various propulsion related features.

  • Turret
    The turret is active and looking for targets.

    Due to questions about OOG I have now setup (and you can test) a sort of in game OOG.

    Every character now has a commlink and by default you are on channel 1. There are four public channels, in order to swap channel you must use ONE manual action. You will then swap channel at the end of the round.

    You may also create private channels. To do so just say something like "Creates private channel Alpha" (name must be unique). To share access to a private channel use a manual action to share access. Anyone with access can share access, so be careful who you share with.

    You may only be in one Public Channel at a time, however for hosting simplicity you may be in multiple private channels at the same time.

    Please post any questions in the Main Thread.

    Important Update

    After observing how the game runs on NIFE I have decided to add an additional win/lose condition.

    Humans
  • Do NOT allow any aliens to escape with you.

    Aliens
  • If one or both of you escapes on the escape ship (with or without the humans) then the humans will automatically lose.

    I believe there are sufficient objects and abilities in the game world that this is still a balanced option. If you wish to discuss this change please post objections/concerns/thoughts in the main thread.

    Engineer Dooku uses the hand-held plasma welder to unseal the door to security OR the confederation nano-driver if necessary.
    Engineer Dooku removes a length of wire from a non-essential portion of the room
    Engineer Dooku sets up a tripwire trap at the door to security by laying out a length of wire at foot-level connected to the trigger of a blaster pistol. When an unsuspecting individual enters the room, touching the tripwire will cause the blaster to fire at them.

    Because I am stupid and forgot to check that. If it came to combat I would've checked that before doing anything though.

    If you see any room that says the power is out, then you are safe to assume that any technology inside them is not working.
