Carrie Fisher and her Mom Debbie Reynolds likely to share memorial service
Posted: Posted December 31st, 2016 by Trever Leingod

Most people probably have heard by now that Carrie Fisher, known most for her role as Princess Leia, died unexpectedly at the age of 60 on December 27. Her mother Debbie Reynolds, heartbroken by the loss of her daughter, died of a stroke the following day. Reportedly, her last words were "I want to be with Carrie." How beautiful but sad. The family seems to be planning a shared memorial service.

Carrie Fisher had finished filming for Episode VIII, but it is unknown what the producers plan to do about her character in Episode IX (assuming the likely event that Leia is not killed off in Episode VIII).

I had heard about this a few days before Christmas myself. just the perfect wretched last move for 2016 to pull on us. I remember meeting her at Celebration IV and how friendly she was. I was even lucky enough to get a photo with her.

It's awesome that you got to have that experience, tnu. She was a funny, intelligent woman and a gifted writer. And Debbie Reynolds was equally incredible.

I remember you telling me you got to talk with Carrie and get a photo with her. Great memories to have.
