We can confirm via our sources that the entry-level Xbox Series S will cost $299 at retail, with a $25 per month Xbox All Access financing option, which Microsoft is planning to push hard via various retailers and a large global roll out. The more powerful Xbox Series X will cost $499, with a $35 per month Xbox All Access financing option.

The games’ afoot. Now SONY will have to either match, or beat that price with the PS5. Honestly $500 isn’t all that bad in today’s money.

considering the PS3 launched at 500-600 dollars lol.

Its a good thing for Sony that Blu Rays are now the standard medium for physical media. Imagine if a superior physical medium was released and they had to put said physical medium on their console before Microsoft. It would increase the cost of the console and may garner additional sells lol.

And That was in 2006. Adjust that for inflation and it was more like $640-$770 lol.

Same CPU, but slightly slower/downclocked speeds. 12 vs 4 TFLOPs GPU. Series S only has 10 GB GDDR6 (vs 16), with 8 for gaming. The RAM speed is basically half of series X too, but this game is targeting 1080p gaming anyway

Glad to help. I’ve had it for a while on Xbox and between that and games with gold I haven’t bought a Xbox game in a long time. It’s also nice that any first party games are available on Game Pass as soon as they launch.

The expansion of Xbox All Access to 12 countries, offering you a next generation Xbox and 24 months of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate starting at $24.99 a month, with no upfront costs.
EA Play Comes to Xbox Game Pass at no additional cost.

Microsoft really came out swinging to make up for their lack of exclusives at launch.

Begun, the Console War has.

Crazy thing is that x box series S might actually outsell X by a decent margin. There's no reason for parents to give their kids a 500 console when they can play 1-2k at 60-120fps. Genius move by MS. This will force Sony to at least put their disc version for $500 at the most. It's said that MS losing more money on the Series S as well.

Both Sony and MS will be selling at a significant loss on day 1 for sure.
