Character creation will open on August 13 (August 12 for the Americas).

Full game will open on August 27 (August 26 for the Americas).

Despite the nitpicking and anxiety of the fanbase (one can spend hours per day digging through the salt and drama that already exists for a game that has not yet been released), the actual content looks very promising so far.

I will be playing an Undead Warlock, in case anyone wants to roll up with me.

I think I said this in the last thread, but I really hope that they'll be doing servers for the various expansions. I'd love to play Burning Crusade again.

As it is, I'll probably check it out, but I don't know if I really have the attention span to play it long-term.

Blizzard announces global pre-launch test for 11:00 AM PDT August 8. This is available for all players with active game time or subscription.
Blizzard also shares minimum system requirements for WoW Classic:

How absolutely quaint. Note that recommended specs are the same as WoW: BFA. IIRC, this is because players will have the option to use either modern or classic graphics settings.

I will, of course, be using classic graphics.
