Curious what people put. Mine are:

Smash Ultimate, Dragon ball Fighter Z, No More Heroes, Mario Party(I guess)

and the next game Panic Button is working on the Switch.

Couple more games out there but I forgot. Those are the ones I will most likely buy

Apparently super mario party will have online play according to black yoshi which let alone will make it the best mario party ever.

Basically just Smash. I almost never buy games from a current year but Smash and maybe RDR 2 are ones I will get into this year.

Yeah, it's gonna have online multi. It's only gonna be like 5-7 turns

No idea what is coming out this year so I'm just gonna post the games shown at e3 that I'm looking forward to.

Devil May Cry (2?)

Samurai Darksouls

Kingdom Hearts 3

The Last of Us 2

RESIDENT EVIL 2 REMAKE

daemon x machina

Star fox Ubisoft cross over

My understanding is that Mario Party isn't full online. You can jump online to play a rotation of mini-games, but not the actual board game. Definitely skipping it if that's really the case.

At this point I'm mostly just looking forward to Smash, Satisfactory (PC), Tropico 6 (PC), and Monster Hunter World (PC).

The Last of Us 2 hasn't really grabbed my attention with anything they've shown yet. I'll probably still buy it around release if it gets good reviews.

Red Dead, I guess? Although I'm still expecting it to be delayed until next year (which is already jam-packed with good shit). Otherwise nothing, pretty uneventful.

At least that's whats confirmed for now. Probably with randoms. TBQH, I could understand why. I haven't played Mario Party for a while, but a single game could last anywhere between 30 minutes to an hour right(depending on how many turns you put)? Think of all the rage quitting. I've thought about this for a while since I've wanted mario party with online since the Wii days.. This issue of rage quitting disrupting games. They could always patch a mode with longer turns later. At the very least this could be addressed only for randoms.

In the old days a game of Mario Party could last more than three hours if you played 50 turns. Newer games (post-Hudson) usually don't take longer than an hour.

That said, I'm a Mario Party fanatic so I don't give a damn if the review scores are in the negatives, I'll be picking up Super Mario Party upon its release.

I guess the only other games I'd be planning on picking up would be Smash Ultimate and Mario Odyssey (I know that one came out last year but I've yet to get it myself -- been busy and relatively broke) and maybe Mario Tennis Aces if that one lives up to expectations.

Right, but why on earth would you want to play MP with randos anyway? If you're playing with friends, the 'rage quitting' doesn't really become an issue. And if it does, they can just swap the former player with a CPU and let the game keep going. There's really no excuse for not putting the board game online.

I'm still playing in 2014.

I dont even know what year I'm, still playing in. it's a mix of the early 1990's up until now.

At somepoint I want to have my gaming setup to where all my systems are hooked up to system selectors. The older systems that can't do HD will go to a CRT TV and the ones that can will go to my HDTV.

MP with randos if people can't play with friends IRL. Oh, I forgot about CPUs filling the void for rage quitters. Well, we'll see how it pans out.

I just bought myself a PS4 for my birthday so I got a lot of catching up to do this year! I already nabbed Bloodbourne, NBA2K18 and Yooka Laylee and I think Last Guardian is next on the list. :) apparently Sony is just coming out their Greatest Hits line for the PS4 so it's a good time I think to start filling in more of the collection.

Sticking with the nature of the thread though, I think the two upcoming games from 2018 that I'm most stoked for is Smash Bros and Dreams. I don't have a switch so SSBU will have to wait a while.
