lol wtf they actually adding Tag and Bink? They were non-canon even in the legends as they were just a spoof.

I mean the whole thing is a wor thless stupid plecatinggesture to try and win back someof hte old guard alienated by the Legends decision after the controversy of TLJ but what tey don't understand is that many of uis don't want to see AU versions of Legends chracters outside of their original context because we don't care about the chracters in isolation. AU versions are just shallow copeis to us.

I don't think that's what they are doing at all.

You have to remember that the people working on Star Wars now, many of them were fans. They read the same books & comics, played the same games. Most of what they add is more because they think it'd be cool to do it or they are excited to be able to work with a character they liked.

TLJ still earned them a lot of money and Episode 9 will continue to earn them a lot of money, so I don't really believe they are that bothered about a small segment of Star Wars fans who don't like the new stuff. I certainly don't believe any Legends additions to the new canon are based on that motive, if there is an ulterior motive it's just to keep people who are already onboard interested. And it works, because I really like what they have done with Thrawn in his novel & in Rebels and I look forward to getting the second novel.

Bringing back the likes of Revan, and especially making a series around him, would be absolute genius for rolling in attention for both fans of Legends and the new stuff. After Rebels ends, they would be smart to jump on that wagon.

it's not Revan though just an AU copy of him. and if the people working on it wee fans this whole mess wouldn't have happened to begin with. this is just a pathetic effort to win back the old guard who were alienated by the Legends decision while completely missing the point and not actually giving us what we want. I We don't want AU copies of characters independent of their original world and history. that's stupid. If I'm going in to something for Revan I'm there for REVAN not his AU doppelganger. and that's not Thrawn it's Thrawn's AU doppelganger so he's just worthless reboot trash.

Pretty much. Also, *every* new Star Wars film sees a segment of its fan base pissed off and angry. Even Empire saw fan backlash over the Vader reveal.

That is an interesting peak at the past I did not know about. I have never heard about it from my parents or anyone from their generation, though I have heard a good deal of prequel/sequel trilogy bashing.
