Unreal Tournament Development Halted Indefinitely
Posted: Posted December 9th, 2018 by mariomguy

ALL of the staff developing Unreal Tournament has been moved over to Fortnite, and UT development has been halted indefinitely. Epic closed Paragon, and it seems UT will just remain an unfinished product with only a few levels.

For those who don't know, UT is the one game I actually play nowadays, and it's great! It's a classic arena-style FPS with the same old school design sensibilities (same composer as well), but modern day graphics and slick gameplay.

It seems servers will stay open, but I tried getting a match for 20 minutes to no avail... If all the fans left after the announcement, this sucks!

Oh well, it was gonna happen sooner or later anyways. I guess I'm gonna have to start playing Fortnite...

Fortnite is pretty fun for it being free and all. I still prefer PUBG mostly because I do not like having to build and collect resources in Fortnite.

Downloading Fortnite now. Will try it later. But for now, let's just pay respects to the last Unreal Tournament... still running, apparently, just lost all its thunder to Fortnite.

OK, so quick match doesn't work, but you can totally search for servers and enter games! YAY!

Guys, Unreal Tournament is free, and it's easy to host a server! If any of you want to play UT during the holidays, I'm game!
