Surprised no one made a thread on it. Im on mobile so I can't post the video to the reveal. (Haven't seen it myself tbh)

Crazy to think two generations have come and gone. (Ps3/Ps4)

Could have sworn I was dusting off my PS3 for another go of Modern Warfare 3.

I like it but I’m still trying to decide how much. I’d say it’s one of the more radical designs SONY has ever come up with.

Better hold onto that old PS3 if you want to play your old games as the PS5 will only be BC with PS4 games.

I think it looks pretty nice, and at least they put some effort in as opposed to Microsoft who just put theirs in a box (taking the name rather literally I guess).

Microsoft went with function over form, and honestly I can agree with that. As long as the console performs well I dont really care too much about what it looks like. The PS5 definitely has flare to it though.

The real question is how much will the PS5's faster SSD help with games compared to the XBOX SX? What will the load time difference be and will it be enough to give it a good enough edge over the XBOX? What will the Price tag be on these 2 consoles?

I will say that right now the PS5 has the better launch line up if they don't get delayed. Launching with Ratchet and Clank, Horizon Forbidden West, SPIDER-MAN: MILES MORALES and GT7 as well as a few other titles is a huge incentive to get one as soon as it launches.

Hold onto your ps3

nah. The games I wanted to play from that gen are ported onto the PS4. Other than the Last of Us 2 and resident evil 3 remake I dont have a reason to play on any Sony Branded consoles.

I wont be moving onto the next gen. I'll stay in the switch camp and die a happy camper.

This is the best meme of it I've seen so far:

It does look pretty sleek though.

A lot of things of been reading and seeing are saying the same that they think it’s wierd but they like it. Apparently, however, this thing is going to be very tall and probably very long. Like taller and longer than the original Xbox One and PS3. Even taller and longer than The Xbox SX, but not as wide.

I'm going to make a dedicated thread on the games showcased.

I saw the trailer for resident evil 8. I wasn't completely sold until the end. I guess it is a follow up to 7 which i haven't played. I don't care much for the first person gameplay but I went ahead and picked up 7 on sale.

I'll finish off revelations 2, re7, do a run through of re4 on the switch and maybe by then the remake of 3 will be at a affordable price.

I'm a fan of the weird design, but all that matters is how the games perform. I'll be picking up the (probably more expensive) physical disk drive version, which I imagine will be $100 more just for that 4k player disk drive. I'm guessing the disk drive version will be priced at $600 and the digital version will be $500.

Naturally, I won't be picking this up during launch. I already have a PC with solid state drive, which I do believe is the most impressive thing about the PS5. Raytracing is cool, but I don't think the PS5 can really do much with raytracing technology at its price per the hardware. Notice how that guy talking about Ratchet and Clank said something about the reflections on Clank rather than the reflections of the environment? Maybe I'll wait for a PS5 Pro!

Sony definitely did a better job showing off their stuff compared to Microsoft's recent showcase. Then again, I'm biased as a Playstation and Nintendo fan. As soon as Microsoft gives me a reason to buy an Xbox with a quality library of games, I'll be an Xbox fan. Or just make Banjo-Threeie and let it be highly praised and I'll run out to buy an Xbox.
