The Generation of Revenge

There is a particular trend among the alt-right that I have noticed lately.
The West is dead. We are a generation of revenge.
Reclaim what you lost.
Take back what was taken from us.
These are phrases found in "fashwave" motivational images, which are a curious intersection of classical aesthetic and 1980s neon-soaked retro flavor. For a selection of some of my favorites:
Beyond the initial issue of the pre-supposed accusation that something has been pillaged from us, which is not supported in the slightest in these propaganda pieces, there is another issue. The claim itself is not so much the problem as the underlying principles, which betray certain flaws of character. Indeed, something has been taken from these people: their spine.
Behind all of these phrases of inherited glory, there is a creeping insecurity and sense of plaintive wheedling. The method of rhetoric is soaked in self-justification and entitlement. It is right, they attempt to slyly presume, that we should do what we wish to benefit ourselves, because others have victimized us. This is, in other words, the very image of the anti-Semitic propaganda wherein the Jew "cries out in pain as he stabs you", except retrofitted for Aryan sensibilities. It is the "Jewish trick" of calling upon past atrocities in a weak attempt to justify (or simply distract from) current atrocities. It is the method to create brainwashed cannon fodder instead of honorable activists.
To conquer is to be conquered. To use might is to have might used against you. To kill is to die. If you wish to move into the arena of survival, you must be prepared to defend yourself instead of expect to just take from others. There is no right or wrong here; to attempt to conquer while whinging about why it's your right to do so is the ethical equivalent of a child throwing a tantrum. Do what you will, be forthcoming in your explanation and don't try to sell me a line of bullshit about how closely linked you are to the savage, strong-thewed, pillaging, raping Indo-European ancestors that definitely intended whatever benefit they created to be directly passed to you like some kind of trust fund.
Create your own empire. Don't whine like a bitch about how you lost one that was never yours.
