Am I the only one still in school? I didnt mean to fall 2 units short :(

Tuesday-Thursday

History 3640: Contemporary U.S. History

Political Science 2030: Global Politics

History 4891: From Confucianism to Communism

History 4520: Guerrilla Revolutions

Education Single Subject 3900: Foundations of Secondary Education

It's going to be an interesting semester. Not entirely sure what to expect with the Foundations of Secondary Education class. But its a requirement to apply to the credential program (which I may or may not do)

I also have examinations for various agencies, work, and a bunch of other stuff going on. I am sure the next 4 months will fly by.

Where do you work and when are you intending to graduate and where are you planning to go to graduate school at? Are you going for your doctoral degree? Do you want to become a professor in history or something? Do you want to be a lawyer like Apollo has been aiming for? I thought that you said that you would come to San Diego over the winter holiday season last year. My cousin obtained her degreee in history at cal state San Marcos (you were considering it for one of the universities that you wanted to apply for), but found NO JOB out of it. It’s best for you to become a lawyer since lawyers are liberal and they make millions of $$$ and sue the bastards and with all of that money you make you can buy every video game in the world.

Courses in mandarin:

Southeast Asian Politics and Foreign Affairs

Islamic Fundamentalism

Chinese History from 1949 to the Present

International Economics

Courses in English:

Economic Instruments for Pollution Control

China on the Periphery

I registered for six classes so I could save my spot in classes Im just considering. At this point though, I'm probably going to drop Southeast Asia and China Periphery and stick with four classes.

i miss classes, especially writing workshops. time for grad school?

Posted January 16th by poptart!

If that's what you wanna do, go for it bro.

I kind of wish I did a year or two of Trade school so I had some hard skills I could do with my hands.

I'm looking into getting into computer science and analytics as well, just to broaden my skills and develop an understanding of stuff that I think will get more and more useful.

You can learn just about anything doing online courses through websites like udemy.com

Are you going for your doctoral degree?

Eventually.

Do you want to become a professor in history or something?

Eventually.

Do you want to be a lawyer like Apollo has been aiming for?
nope.

I thought that you said that you would come to San Diego over the winter holiday season last year.
No money= no travel.
My cousin obtained her degreee in history at cal state San Marcos (you were considering it for one of the universities that you wanted to apply for), but found NO JOB out of it.

Its difficult, but not impossible.

Nah.

Chinese History from 1949 to the Present

This is going to be fun. I can pass along a paper I wrote on China's involvement in the the Korean War if you like. Really sets the stage for Sino-Soviet relations imo.

time for grad school?

Do it. I had a bit of time off and as much as I hated my previous semester. I missed the grind. I realized that the most time off I could do is a semester or even a year but I am going to go back eventually after my B.A.

Still in school for myself. I dropped Creative Writing on the first day. Not what I was expecting. Looking to see if I can into later classes for Spring.

Classtrael is planning on becoming a writer q, so if you need any help then I suggest you ask her, but I’m not gonna get involved with this at all. Just letting you know the facts here. And we have a bunch of people in here majoring in history. Also Grand Canyon university has a great online program, the students are very friendly in the discussion board which you have to comment on every weekly module assignments that are listed in the syllabus, and the staff and professors are very helpful getting you all connected and accustomed to the courses that you want to register for. Much better than the shitty online universities that I enrolled at here in San Diego who didn’t give a flying fuck about registration and accomsatiobs. Grand Canyon university literally has everything that you might need and they’re very responsive and not take days to contact you for any help that you may need. And they offer them all throughout the year so you can register and enroll in summer classes online and possibly retake the two that you want to drop agis.

I think all of you should look into online courses in case you’re uncomfortable for irl any ones. Module assignments are due weskly so you can take your time and DUE your homework any time that you want from the time that the week starts till the end when the clock strikes midnight depending on where your online college is located. And you can read all of your textbooks via eclass for every course that you decide to take meaning you won’t have to pay for them like you would at regular colleges. You’ll just need to pay for the courses that you register for and nothing else. Private colleges generally offer more assistance from the staff and professors but the tuition is much higher than public ones because they’re not funded by the government. And in case you don’t like your professor for either online or regular colleges you can go to ratemyprofessor.com and share it to the school staff in case many other past and present students think that certain professors are a dick at teaching and offering help to you and they may give you refunds in case you drop the course because of the shitty professor(s) that you took classes for.

Are you looking to possibly retake the course that you dropped later down the line Cas or are you dropping it for good? Also are you able to hear your professors ok? You mentioned four years ago that you were having a hard time hearing the professors cause you’re hard of hearing. I shared with you the microphone device (called the FM) that the professors can wear along their neck which sends the words that they say directly to your hearing aids and filters out background noise (you’ll have a boot connected to the bottom of your hearing aids and you turn the flicker on when you’re using it and off when you’re not and you’ll need to charge the FM daily when you return home from college because it runs on wireless Bluetooth battery power). And you should ask your audiologist every now and then to get you new ear molds for your hearing aids because it makes it much harder to hear when they’re filled with wax all over the place and digital hearing aids by phonak are the best quality type to wear and hear from). And if you’re still having trouble with your courses for any reason you can always ask the department of disabilities to hire you a transcriber and note taker for your courses. all of this is FREE for you and paid for by the school’s department of disabilities.

K miss the days when I could do college classes all day and work a part-time job in the evenings and weekends. Such a long time ago.

Q

I miss the days in high school when I had quality hearing in both ears since the digital hearing aids that I wore by phonak restored my hearing loss to almost 100% hopefully your”s do as well cas, and could talk and swallow du e. Now I don’t have any of those at all and will never get it back. Also during my senior year of high school we had a Nintendo club probably just because of the sole purpose to prepare and be ready to play brawl when it came out in March. I have the organizer of the group and another student participant it added on Facebook and I’m gonna ask for the third most involved in it because she is Japanese and had a nippon wii and got the game first when it came out in Japan so she imported it and told us that we’d get to play it then but her dick parents wouldn’t let her bring her Wii to school for an unknown reason and then we had to wait till the game came out in America before we could play brawl. In the meantime we played melee and I kicked their asses spamming all of yoshi’s moves and did so for brawl too. Then i asked the manager to tell the dj to play brawl music at prom at the end of the year when my high school had it scheduled (literally a week before graduation). Then grad nite came and I posted on the Nintendo club wikispaces message board if anyone beat boss battles on intense and the person said “stay calm and in control”. I beat it just a few hours after sleeping when I returned home from grad nite (just at the skin of my teeth via using yoshi’s a up tail whip immediately after flutter kicking tabuu and he was ONE SECOND away from unleashing his second set of shock wave attacks aka the REAL Red Ring of Death). Then I had something to celebrate about the next day at senior breakfast. I need to somehow find the person who helped mentored me for beating boss battles on intense and I owe him a big thank you.

College started out very rough for me because the tumor that was attached to my hearing nerve inside my right ear regrow like wildfire and I went deaf on that ear the beginning of next year after struggling through my courses mainly because there were no transcribors available to take notes via laptop like they did for me in high school during our class lectures as well of the fact that I could basically only hear in one ear. After I had surgery to remove that tumor I had to miss an entire semester and then registered for courses again in the fall and struggled through those as well because even though they trained a transcriber the computer was retarded and interpreted the wrong words being said and typed and the laptop battery was godawful and often died during class even though it was fully recharged. Nevertheless I made it through that semester and then registered for classes again in time for spring semester with a few more courses but it was too much for me since the transcriptioning was basically nothing and the professors were talking waaaaay too fast because they had so much to say and I couldn’t keep up since I could only hear in one ear which still impaired enough to keep me from processing expedient speech recognition, so I had to drop out and resort to taking online courses until 2012 when I had that deadly surgery which made me basically lose three of my senses (well the strong painkillers they I took after that is what killed the remaining hearing on my left ear). Now I’ll never be able to attend college and get my accounting degree which is what I was aiming for prior to that deadly surgery that I had back in 2012 which caused me to drop out of college completely permanently.

I am way too old; I went to be young again like SOH and ceta/sus are.
