So many technical issues with my ps4 today
Posted: Posted July 2nd by -Riku-

My ps4 seems to be having a bad day. It's locked up on me twice, failed to repair my extended storage device that I've had to reformat into a storage device TWICE, and it inexplicably said that the application data for the game I was playing was corrupted or something like that

Do you have an older PS4?

My xbox one did this to me and I had to delete everything off it and start over after formatting it.

What I Killed Mufasa said could work for you.

This could also be indicative of possible hard drive failure. The reason I ask if this is an older PS4 is that at the end of 2013 my XBOX360 started exhibiting similar issues and within a month or 2 it failed and I lost everything on it. It was only 4 years old as it was a Halo Reach edition XBOX360 model S. I recommend backing up all your important game saves to online storage and start pricing some hard drives as replacements. Hopefully this isnt the case but just be prepared in case it is.

I've also noticed a few minor issues over the past few weeks. Mainly that control responses fail to happen. this is mainly in Horizon Zero Dawn. I would hold down the "draw arrow" button and nothing would happen. As for my storage device, my ps4 now says, "The USB storage device cannot be used. The files system is not supported". Would it be possible for me to connect my storage device to my laptop in order to reformat it to a format compatible with my ps4?
