Yoshi is right. You gotta stick with it for a couple months or so (depending on the frequency of your visits) before you can expect to see results. Please hang in there. We’re all on your side.

Yeah. I can say this: if therapy is going to work out for you, it is definitely not going to be a thing that helps overnight. I didn't realize how therapy had helped me until about two full years after I started going again a few years ago.

It's also important - and I don't know if I did a great job explaining this in all the occasions I encouraged therapy - to recognize that therapy is not a solution, or a cure, or a fix. It is a tool; a resource that you can use in a quest for self-improvement. Your therapist is there to help give you techniques and resources you can use to better deal with issues you are feeling, but it's still not like a mechanic, or even a physician. Like, it's not the same thing as going to your doctor because you have acid reflux, the doctor prescribes some medication, and then your acid reflux is gone.

I'm still struggling to find a new therapist for myself, but I appreciate hearing that you are trying it. The updates are good, but remember to try and be patient and self-reflective.
