It includes Castlevania Bloodlines, which is a terrific choice. Add in Warsong and/or the Streets of Rage or Golden Axe trilogies and they've got a buyer in me.

We won't get Langrisser 2 (Japan exclusive and all that), but we should:

I spent a couple hundred on an n64 classic edition:

Love it. ^_^ Can play any n64 game (or nes game actually).

Hopefully this will be better than the one SEGA released in 2017.

IKM, do you use the standard composite cables with your N64?

Meanwhile, I spent ~80$ on a raspberry pi, retropie sd card and two xbox-like controllers.

I’ve thought about making myself a Retropie. Maybe I’ll get around to it sometime and put it in a SNES style case.

Aren’t they going for around $200-250? I think Metaljesus posted a video on YouTube of his N64 HDMI Mod. It cleaned the graphics up a lot but I’m not sure I’d be willing to shell out that much. I think that eventually a hdmi converter will be released that doesn’t require modding. A similar converter has been released for the SNES at a much cheaper price. I’d love to play Extreme G or 1080 Snowboarding with better visuals on the original hardware

I know I could always sell it again for what I paid for it though.

I wish the controllers on these things were wireless

Forty games for $80 is a good average, even if the quality of the games isn't high all the way through. Should put the memory of that trash-tier PS Classic out of everyone's minds.

I’m sure you’ll be able to get a Bluetooth controller with a dongle like you can with the snes Classic.

40 is a good number compared to other consoles. And I’m sure you’ll be able to add more in some fashion like you can with most of the current mini consoles.

you can but I rather pay an extra 20 dollars upfront to have it included. if I buy the blue tooth controller I will have three controllers.... when it would have been best to just have made wireless controllers all along.

are you a big power rangers fan Q? Im not too familiar with the comic iteration of the power ranger but Ive heard fun things.

I understand but I think the idea is to keep the price around the same as the SNES Classic. I personally don’t mind wired controllers as long as th cords are longer than 4 ft. Also I would have preferred the 6 button genesis controller as some games like street fighter don’t work well on a 3 button controller.

As far as Power Rangers, I watch the first 4 or 5 seasons as a kid but once they started really going off the rails I stopped. I haven’t read any of the comics but I found this picture of tommy as a evil ranger and thought it looked pretty cool.

Apparently, Japan is getting the 6-Button controller packed in with the MegaDrive Mini.
