Respect Cire Lostsanctum, the Man of Miracles

Background / Power Source

Cire was an orphan that was taken in and raised by a skilled martial artist who trained him for years in unarmed combat. After his mentors' mysterious disappearance, Cire traveled the world and attained a massive amount of experience, both formal and informal. He has a disgust for belief systems and close relationships that is not born of ignorance, but distrust. The combination of not having a family or friends for most of his life and seeing some of the worst that humanity had to offer in his travels has hardened him. He is a consummate lone wolf - or was, until the beginning of All-World, when a young girl asks him for help...

In the Heir to the Stars sub-series All-World, we see Cire as a martial artist notable for his chi/chakra manipulation and an amazing amount of combat skill. What others find most interesting about him, however, is his ability to subconsciously push his power far beyond what it should be, to adapt to all hostile situations and to be exactly where he needs to be, which earns him the title "Man of Miracles" later in the series. This religion-tinged title clashes heavily with his nihilistic worldview, which doesn't allow for a higher power.

Which is a bit of a problem, seeing as how he is actually an avatar/alternate personality of the Ace of Spades, who is the creator of the Suggsverse Cosmic Hierarchy and who possesses such unbelievable metaphysical power that he is assuredly one of the most powerful characters in fiction. If you want to see what the Ace of Spades can do, have a look at the Ace of Spades Respect Thread (link TBA). However, Cire is simply one facet of the Ace of Spades. He can't use the Ace of Spades' power consciously, though that explains where his passive ability to transcend difficulty in appropriately-flavored ways and ability to function as his own system of metaphysics comes from.

"Miraculous" quotes have been placed in their own section at the end of the RT.

Intelligence & Senses

  • Able to read the chakra patterns of reality. From All-World Vol. 1, pg 38:

Cire Lostsanctum noticed that he wasn’t within the realm that he was familiar with. The chakra patterns that reality presented to him told him that he was in a completely different universe.

  • Able to read local reality through chi energy and the quantum field. From All-World Vol. 2, pg 37:

"We can’t get any closer to her." Lilah said.
"I know. Although she isn’t causing any damaging effects, she’s surrounded by an extra-dimensional infinite temperature barrier."
"How can you tell?" Lilah asked.
"The Qi field cannot register the temperature, and Quantum field itself only shows a limitless amount of localized temperature."

  • Able to comprehend the existence of entities that merge with universal abstracts. From All-World Vol. 1, pg 36:

Both Valentine Sin and Nicholas Pageking manipulated the energy waves of the Big Bang equation to merge into the concepts of Death and Nihility.
Both Valentine Sin and Nicholas Pageking became the property of being present everywhere. They were present in every location in space and time. They were an unbounded presence. They were literally everywhere at once, that is, at every point in space during a given instant. Valentine Sin embodied Death and Nicholas Pageking embodied Nihility.
"I find it odd that a mere human such as you is still able to comprehend our existence." Nicholas Pageking said.

    Strength & Endurance

  • Able to hold himself up and balance under 10,000 solar Gs. This is young Cire, back when he was still in training under his mentor. This should also be counted as a durability feat. From All-World Vol 3, pg 21:

"How is it that you know all of these skills, Dominus?" Young Cire asked, as he was balancing himself upside down on his pinky while balancing on a pinpoint needle under the pressure of gravity 10,000 times the Sun by a spell of Dominus the Shaman.

    Speed & Reactions

  • Dodges high-relativistic attacks from hundreds of enemies. From All-World Vol. 1, pg 21:

Just as Cire gained a sense of balance in the sky, over 300 temporal clones of Jason Cain surrounded him. Each one of them fired bolts of lighting at the end of relativistic speeds, only for Cire to acrobatically dodge all of them.

  • Dodges centillions of high-relativistic lightning bolts. From All-World Vol. 1, pg 44:

Solomon Princeton caused the clouds to cover the sky, raining down 50,000 leader lightning bolts that were half the speed of light to strike Cire. At the same time, he created 50,000 lightning bolts that were nearing the end of relativistic speeds to strike Cire from below. Just as the lightning bolts all neared Cire, Solomon broke down the structure of the all of the lightning, multiplying all of them by a centillion. [...]
Cire was able to acrobatically dodge the lightning bolts [...]

  • Reacts to and blocks attacks moving at high-relativistic speeds. From All-World Vol. 2, pg 25:

Thomas unleashed a series of wind blades that moved at the end of relativistic velocity, cutting through space.
Cire unleashed a barrier of Qi, negating the effects of the wind blades.

  • Dodges rays of light. The attack is explicitly light from a natural source, but it's likely moving faster than light, given the fact that it would be nearly useless as an attack in this series if it took minutes to travel from the sun to the planet, and the fact that no explicit time passes between the initiation of the attack and the response. From All-World Vol. 1, pg 30:

Valentine Sin used his cane to pull down solar light energy from the Sun to strike down on Cire.
Cire was able to easily dodge the solar rays of light.

  • Dodges a million attacks in an attosecond. Also implied to be infinitely fast, dodging attacks that are described as "instant". For reference, an attosecond is 1/1000th of a femtosecond. In a femtosecond, a ray of light would travel approximately 0.3 micrometers. From All-World Vol. 1, pg 22:

By drawing the (little) Joker card, Jason Cain demonstrated his ability to cut through the dimensional fabric and Euclidean space.
Jason Cain began to strike Cire, leaving rips in the dimension. With each strike, he was able to cut through space to instantly attack Cire, but Cire was able to move faster than the earliest system of cause.
With exactly 1 million distinct electrical attacks in a single attosecond aimed at Cire, Jason left exactly 1 million rips within the dimensional fabric. Not a single attack was able to connect with Cire.

  • Uses metaphysical martial arts that are beyond the normal concept of action. From All-World Vol. 3, pg 60:

Cire assumed his Swan Style stance. By transcending time and space, escaping their grasp completely, and achieving a level beyond the necessity of speed, motion, change, reality, information, and presence, Cire attacked Dominus the Shaman.

  • More martial arts from beyond spacetime. From All-World Vol. 3, pg 54:

Cire Lostsanctum transcended the necessity of time and space, attacking Sarina with a forceful swan dive; [...]

  • Even more metaphysical attacks. From All-World Vol. 2, pg 27:

Cire jumped even higher, gliding forward, leading into a powerful scissor attack at a level beyond the necessity of any system of change and presence.

    Durability & Regeneration

  • No-sells an infinite mass punch. From All-World Vol. 1, pg 21:

Jason Cain accelerated towards Cire Lostsanctum at super close luminal speeds. Cire was able to simply dodge his punch, only for a temporal clone of Jason Cain to appear under him and strike him with a punch of infinite mass.
Cire was able to survive the attack unharmed.

  • Immediately regenerates from being matter-manipulated into nothingness. From All-World Vol. 1, pg 32:

Valentine Sin rearranged the molecules of Cire Lostsanctum’s structure in order to change his form by using his cane to disrupt his wave/particle pattern, completely turning him into void. [...]
Cire appeared above him, delivering a vicious axe-handle attack onto Valentine Sin.

  • Regenerates from and later tanks antimatter and wave-function collapse attacks. From All-World Vol. 1, pg 33:

Valentine Sin mentally converted half of Cire Lostsanctum’s body into antimatter, causing him to annihilate completely into nothingness. [...]
Valentine Sin fired waves of antimatter and wave-function collapse waves at the regenerating Cire, only for Cire to simply endure the effects this time.

  • Regenerates from being destroyed on all levels of existence. From All-World Vol. 1, pg 23:

Cire Lostsanctum was hit by his own effect, completely disappearing from all levels of existence.
Then, he reappeared with a smile on his face and with his hands in his pockets as if nothing happened.

  • Is unaffected by attempts to erase his existence. From All-World Vol. 1, pg 39:

Nicholas Pageking erased the existence of Cire Lostsanctum from the inside out, only to see that Cire was unaffected.

  • It is said that death and nonexistence literally can't accept Cire. From All-World Vol. 1, pg 39:

Cire was encased within a surreal world of emptiness.
"Young boy, what are you?" Valentine Sin asked.
    "..."
"I only ask because I encompass all of reality, yet you are not encompassed by my presence. Death cannot touch you." Valentine Sin explained.
"Void cannot encompass you either." Nicholas Pageking said.

  • Withstands death effects. From All-World Vol. 1, pg 47:

    "Thanatos..." Solomon whispered.
By establishing a contract with this deity, he gained the ability manipulate and create death.
By manipulating these effects with his martial arts, he absorbed the life force of Cire Lostsanctum with a simple side sweep kick.
However, Cire Lostsanctum was able to hold on to life, and counter by unleashing an extra-dimensional martial art style.

  • Immediately regenerates from an attack that disintegrated him on an atomic level. From All-World Vol. 2, pg 25:

Thomas unleashed a series of magical light rays that rained down from an extra-dimensional plane at the speed of light, breaking down the atomic structure of Cire Lostsanctum. The shower of light literally atomized a diameter of 150,000 km2 of Russia, leaving a crater of emptiness that was 150 km deep.
Cire appeared above Thomas Lostlight, showering him with a volley of Qi waves that resonated with the mind, body, and soul of Thomas Lostlight.

  • Immediately regenerates from being matter-manipulated out of existence. From All-World Vol. 2, pg 26:

Thomas launched a radiant stream of air particles onto Cire. This disrupted the waves and particles within photons and wind to deviate the molecular structure of Cire, shattering his entire substance, form and essence.
Thomas Lostlight smiled as Cire Lostsanctum no longer existed.
Cire Lostsanctum appeared above Thomas Lostlight in the stance of the swan.

  • Immediately regenerates from nonexistence. From All-World Vol. 2, pg 48:

The mere glimmer of the blade was leaving rips within time and space, and voids within the fabrics of reality.
Before Cire Lostsanctum could generate a thought, William de Immanence transcended the bounds of the infinite scope, delivering a powerful one-handed strike with his sword.
Cire Lostsanctum’s entire essence was negated, due to being in the presence of the legendary Absence.
Cire Lostsanctum regenerated from nonexistence and assumed his Swan Song stance.

  • No-sells being erased from existence. From All-World Vol. 4, pg 57:

By simply moving with his Swan Song style, Cire achieved a level that transcended the necessity of presence, change and information, completely negating all phenomenon, fate and time on billions of planes and levels of existence, completely unmaking the reality of Virgil Northslain on all levels and planes of existence with a mere jumping mid-air double stabbing thrust.
In the same moment, Virgil drew his Lyric and Gracie and crossed the two swords, moving them outward in a scissor-like slash.
Cire Lostsanctum had his conceptual defenses multiplied by zero. The attack with his swords completely neutralized the essence of Cire Lostsanctum, eliminating him for good.
Both of them stepped out from never existing at all and simultaneously punched each other in the face.

  • Ignores a universal timestop. From All-World Vol. 2, pg 39:

Vishnu halted all of time and space within the universe.
    "Come this way." Vishnu said.
Cire and Lilah followed Vishnu down the emerald streets into a forest behind one of the skyscrapers.

  • No-sells universal physics manipulation. From All-World Vol. 1, pg 38:

Valentine Sin manipulated the fabrics of the universe, transforming the very laws of all realities and dimensions within it to not allow matter or energy to exist. Valentine Sin also eliminated the concept of information on a quantum level.
A new universe spawned in the wake of the former.
Nicholas Pageking manipulated the universe, converting half of it into antimatter, causing a chain-reaction that annihilated the entire universe.
Cire Lostsanctum once again survived without a scratch.

  • No-sells universal destruction. From All-World Vol. 1, pg 38:

Valentine Sin banished the entire universe into damnation, destroying all of it. However, an alternate reality spawned in its wake. Nicholas Pageking mentally pulled the entire universe into a white void.
    Cire Lostsanctum remained unaffected completely...

  • No-sells multiversal physics manipulation. From All-World Vol. 1, pg 39:

Both Valentine Sin and Nicholas Pageking created a new infinite universe by force of will. Valentine Sin created a core universe in which reality could not exist. He encompassed it with an infinite Multiverse that housed an infinite number of universes in which life could not exist. Matter and energy would simply break down on a quantum level.
Cire Lostsanctum completely remained unaffected by any of the effects being presented, as he stood in the midst of space, also unaffected by its effects.

    Chi & Chakra Manipulation

  • Can fight through chakra manifestations. From All-World Vol. 2, pg 25:

Cire Lostsanctum charged at Thomas Lostlight to deliver a chakra manifestation of a spinning wheel kick.

  • Able to use chakra-imbued strikes to defeat intangible enemies. From All-World Vol. 1, pg 21:

Cire attempted to strike one of the Jason clones, only to go right through him.
    "Intangible?"
Cire Lostsanctum surrounded himself with Chakra, and commenced to strike Jason again. With a swift kick, he was able to disperse Jason Cain. As all of the Jason Cain clones commenced to attack Cire; Cire was able to acrobatically, elegantly and strategically disperse all of them except for one.

  • Creates weapons that attack the mind and the soul. From All-World Vol. 2, pg 49:

However, Cire Lostsanctum had a Qi sword under the neck of William de Immanence and a Chakra sword through his heart. This completely sealed his mind and soul into a state of existence that was only known as nihility.

  • Able to use chi attacks that break down subatomic structure. From *All-World* Vol. 1, pg 45:

Cire unleashed a wave of Qi that was meant to break the subatomic structure of Solomon Princeton. However, Solomon Princeton instantly regenerated.

  • Uses chakra to create "empty energy", which cannot be negated by a shield that automatically generates opposite energy to stop attacks. From All-World Vol. 2, pg 27 - 28:

    Metatron’s Citadel...
This is an automatic technique that activates whenever Thomas Lostlight is in danger. It nullifies an opponent's magical, spiritual, or natural attack by hitting them with a perfectly opposite surge of energy. [...]
Cire Lostsanctum ascended even higher, assuming a swan's beak stance, striking with a two-hand finger strike. A chakra manifestation of a swan appeared behind him, engulfing a paralyzed Thomas Lostlight completely. The attack transported Thomas Lostlight from existence, completely banishing him from all planes of existence.
"Since there is no opposite surge of energy, as this is completely empty energy, you cannot negate it with your automatic barrier."
Thomas Lostlight merely smirked as he was banished from all planes of existence.

  • Uses qi projection to block attacks that tear reality. From All-World Vol. 2, pg 25:

Thomas unleashed a series of wind blades that moved at the end of relativistic velocity, cutting through space.
Cire unleashed a barrier of Qi, negating the effects of the wind blades. However, the blades tore through the space of the surrounding area, leaving several splits in reality.

  • Manipulates chi to destroy the essence of an opponent. From All-World Vol. 1, pg 45:

Cire manipulated the Qi field to resonate with the life energy and reality of Solomon Princeton, shattering his essence completely.

  • Uses qi and chakra manipulation to transcend physics. From All-World Vol. 2, pg 48 - 49:

Cire jumped into sky, resonating his Qi and Chakra with existence itself. By transcending the restrains and decree of time and space, encompassing a level beyond the necessity of time, space, change, information, and presence, Cire executed a swan dive into the very reality of William de Immanence...

  • Uses personal energy to attack on all levels of existence. From All-World Vol. 1, pg 23:

Cire Lostsanctum generated both Qi and Chakra energy, unleashing exactly a billion waves to unmake the reality of Jason Cain on all levels of existence.

  • Uses chi blasts to destroy abstract entities. From All-World Vol. 1, pg 41:

Nicholas Pageking and Valentine Sin reappeared, drastically weakened from their encounter with Cire.
The encompassed the entire continent of Russia, which was approximately 18,468,300 km2. It had separated from Eurasia during the cosmic storm 22 years ago.
Before either of them could process another thought, Cire’s body exploded with a massive amount of Qi energy that swept across the continent, eliminating the two abstracts on all levels and planes of existence.

  • Manipulates his personal energy into merging with a universal abstract and attacks on multiple levels of reality. From All-World Vol. 1, pg 33:

Cire gathered Chakra in his right hand and Qi in his left hand.
Before Valentine Sin could process another thought, Cire had merged the essence of his energy into the concept of chaos itself, completely firing two streams of energies that attacked Valentine Sin on multiple levels of existence, canceling him out.

Fighting Skill & Martial Arts Style

  • Was trained in all martial arts by someone who has an innate connection to martial arts knowledge. From All-World Vol 3, pg 21:

As years passed by, Dominus the Shaman watched over a growing Cire. Cire trained in all forms of martial arts. Dominus the Shaman trained Young Cire in the arts and knowledge of all fighting arts known and unknown. Dominus the Shaman trained him in the arts of all sacred, forbidden, forgotten, and newly created techniques. [...]
    One day...
"How is it that you know all of these skills, Dominus?" Young Cire asked, as he was balancing himself upside down on his pinky while balancing on a pinpoint needle under the pressure of gravity 10,000 times the Sun by a spell of Dominus the Shaman.
"I have a connection to the Quantum field that grants me omniscience of all martial arts and techniques. When a new one appears, I instantly know of it. I know of all past, present, and future martial arts. I even know of the ones within different time streams." Dominus the Shaman explained.

  • Has an innate connection to martial arts knowledge. From *All-World* Vol 3, pg 21 - 22:

Cire had acquired the ability to see the Quantum field. He had gained the same ability that Dominus the Shaman had.

  • Uses a martial arts style that cannot be copied by the human mind. From All-World Vol. 4, pg 57:

<That stance… I see, so by memorizing every known and unknown martial art on the planet, he has enabled himself to create his own unique fighting style that cannot be copied by the human mind.>

  • Displays reactive/automatic fighting. From All-World Vol. 1, pg 44:

Solomon Princeton disappeared from Cire’s field of vision, only for Cire to spinning heel kick Solomon Princeton from above.

  • Is a master of all martial arts and has the ability to read the moves of an equally skilled enemy. From All-World Vol. 1, pg 46 - 47:

Cire Lostsanctum began to show his true physical skills in an elegant and masterful showing of martial arts. To Cire’s surprise, Solomon possessed a master level knowledge of all fighting arts, known and unknown. They were unleashing an arsenal of sacred, forbidden, forgotten, and newly created techniques. The two were demonstrating all styles of martial arts and a complete mastery of them. Both of them had a defensive style that consisted primarily of evasion and counter due to their ability to read their opponent’s moves.
The two demonstrated their mastery with Strikes. Their mastery in Boxing (all forms), and Wing Chun were unparalleled. Their mastery in all arts of Capoeira, Savate, Taekwondo, Kickboxing, Karate, and Muay Thai were unequaled.
    The two were completely equal.
They both started to lock up and test their mastery in the Grappling arts. They were able to unleash all known and unknown throwing arts. Their mastery in Glima, Judo, and Sambo were unrivaled. Their Joint lock and Submission holds were executed perfectly. They were able to execute all levels of Aikido, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Chin Na, Jujutsu, Hapkido, Silat, Judo, Shuai Jiao, and Wrestling. Each and every move ever conceived was being used. They finally went into the styles of Empty Weaponry. They unleashed all levels of Eskrima, Fencing, Kendo, Kyūdō, and Jukendo without the physical weapons.
    Their styles were extraordinary.

  • Attacks on billions of levels of reality.

  • Attacks on centillions of levels of existence with a simple punch. From All-World Vol. 4, pg 58:

With just a mere punch from the both of them, they attacked each other on centillions of different levels and separate planes of existence.

  • Uses martial arts that are beyond reality itself. From All-World Vol. 3, pg 60:

Cire assumed his Swan Style stance. By transcending time and space, escaping their grasp completely, and achieving a level beyond the necessity of speed, motion, change, reality, information, and presence, Cire attacked Dominus the Shaman.

  • Uses a martial arts style that gives him the ability to attack on all levels of existence. From All-World Vol. 2, pg 27:

Cire jumped even higher, gliding forward, leading into a powerful scissor attack at a level beyond the necessity of any system of change and presence.
By simply moving with his Swan Song style, Cire achieved a level that transcended the necessity of omnipresence, completely negating Thomas Lostlight’s presence on several levels of existence, completely unmaking the reality of Thomas Lostlight on all levels and planes of existence with his gliding scissor attack.

  • Uses a stance that negates subatomic destruction. From All-World Vol. 2, pg 26:

Cire Lostsanctum appeared above Thomas Lostlight in the stance of the swan. [...]
He created a pyramid-shaped barrier of light around Cire that created an endless windstorm within, tearing apart the protons, neutrons, and electrons of everything within it.
Cire Lostsanctum stood unaffected by the effects of the pyramid. His stance canceled out all negative effects to his existence.

  • Negates chi-based hax with simple movements. From All-World Vol. 1, pg 48:

    "Vayu..." Solomon Princeton whispered.
By establishing a contract with this deity, he gained the ability to manipulate and destroy both the mind and soul.
By assuming no stance, he was able to unleash the style of the emperor, mentally sending off Ki energy waves to break down the mind and the soul of Cire on all levels of existence.
In mere gentle movements, Cire was able to negate and cancel out the effects of Solomon’s emperor style.

  • Uses a stance that negates manipulation of his mind, body and soul. From All-World Vol. 2, pg 27:

He mentally shot three beams of light that pinned Cire to void, slamming his body in three places in a shape of a perfect triangle. This symbolized as the mind, body and soul being in complete suspended animation.
"Sorry, but my Swan Song style is just too much."
Cire was still standing in the same area, in his same stance. He was never touched by any of Thomas Lostlight’s attacks.

  • Uses martial arts that transcends speed, presence, fate and can destroy a target's essence on all levels of reality. From All-World Vol. 1, pg 48:

    "Ishtar..." Solomon Princeton whispered.
By establishing a contract with this deity, he gained the ability to manipulate, destroy and create both time and fate.
By simply moving with his Swan Song style, Cire achieved a level that transcended the necessity of speed. In fact, he was had transcended petty concepts such as presence and (metaphysical) change.
He completely negated fate and time on their most base levels of existence, completely unmaking the reality of Solomon Princeton on all levels and planes of existence with a mere jumping mid-air double stabbing thrust.

    "Man of Miracles"

  • From All-World Vol. 1, pg 18:

The air quivered as the city below them was nothing but absolute void.
"How? How are you still standing before me? Why are you unscathed by my attack?" Jason Cain asked.
    "It’s... it’s a miracle." Enoch said.

  • From All-World Vol. 1, pg 39:

By force of will, Nicholas Pageking pulled the entire infinite Multiverse into void. However, Cire Lostsanctum was able to pull off a miracle and transport his existence outside of the bounds of time and space, and into the realms of the abstracts.

  • From All-World Vol. 1, pg 40:

"No, I’m not talking about that. I am talking about your power over Miracles." Enoch said.
"There is no such thing as a miracle."
"Oh no, you are wrong about that." She said.
    "?"
"Think about it for a second. Why do you think that you can adapt to any hostile situation and environment?" She questioned.
"I have an excellent immune system."
"Why do you think that you have survived every form and magnitude of phenomena done to you?" She questioned.
"It’s because those attacks have all been child’s play."
"Cire, it’s all explained because of your existence. You are a harbinger of miracles." Enoch explained.

  • From All-World Vol. 2, pg 23:

"Cire doesn’t trust anyone. However, what he did to me is what I truly call a miracle. I lost all will to continue on in this world. No words could reach me, and yet I feel like divine intervention brought him to that place. I consider him a friend, even if he doesn’t consider me a friend." She expressed.

  • From All-World Vol. 3, pg 53:

"You hold the power over Miracles." Reyna explained.
    "Not this again..."
"I cannot fathom why it is difficult for you to understand this, but you hold the power over Miracles. Your very existence is an anomaly within all modes of existence." Reyna said.
"Why do you think Enoch was drawn to you?" Sarina asked.
"Why do you think that you two met within the Epilogue Garden? Why do you think it happened right before the arrival of an Apostle?" Terra asked.
"It was a Miracle." Sarina explained.
    "I'm not buying into this."
"Little girls, go get some candy and go home. Feed your story to some pastor or deacon."
"Why do you think that you exist although your parents tried to eliminate your essence from existence?" Sarina asked.

  • From All-World Vol. 3, pg 54:

"Why do you think that your body remains unbroken even after I shattered every bone in your body?" Sarina asked, as Cire slowly stood up. [...]
"I think that it is time that you listened to what we have to say, Man of Miracles." Sarina Alhazen said.
