We're gonna need a bigger boat.

One of the few animes I've actually been watching and looking forward to. Seems like there is a lot of concerns about how the animation looks and the studio working on it now but I just hope it actually manages to be good.

YASS!!!! The first season was practically perfect, so I don't know how this one will stack up. I think it would be an interesting angle if they take it as an issue that Saitama works alone, or Blast can actually teach him things.

Very hype for this. Really looking forward to seeing my favorite OPM character steal the spotlight in this season.

Ya I'm still optimistic despite the skepticism I'm seeing everywhere. Definitely looking forward to it.

Some shows have a very promising premise and don't show enough of it in the first season, then the second season explodes with everything you were hoping to see. Other shows seem to fulfill everything they hope to in the first season or two, and then the later ones just feel tacked on. One Punch Man definitely fulfills a lot in the first season, I mean, between the dramatic Sea King arc and the apocalypse with Lord Boros, what else can the show do to top it?

Garou is a much more complex villain who doesn't simply seek carnage or challenge or conquest. A lot of the writing in this season is going to have to do with the dehumanizing effect of "heroic" propaganda and the failure of black and white thinking. As well-developed as the character drama and deconstruction of the first season was, it was merely the foundation for the more advanced writing of the second.

Holy freaking crap I want that to be true so badly... Usually the star that shines brightest dies quickest, but I sincerely hope that's not the case with One Punch Man. I want this show to stay good!

Watched a sub of the first episode of season 2 and I wasn't disappointed. One punch man still seems to have it.

I was pleased by it as well. It did a good job of getting players on the board. The animation was good.

Interesting note: the end animation shows characters from the Fight Tournament arc (i.e. the filler arc). I don't really know how they're going to squeeze that into this season - there's more than enough content for another 13 episodes. Maybe it'll just be a fun one-off. Maybe they'll just have that in their back pocket in case production runs into problems on the main storyline.
