Not sure what game to get next
Posted: Posted February 3rd, 2018 by -Riku-

While I have been enjoying Nier Automata, I've almost got all 26 endings and in a few weeks I'm gonna want to get something new. Now I have my eyes set on two games in particular, Dynasty Warriors 9 and Monster Hunter World. The problem is, I'm not sure which one to get. I'm a fan of the DW series, though I've only played three of the games. The fact that it's an open world with a ton of new features and new characters to play as, possibly, makes me very excited to get my hands on it.

On the other hand, I really want to give MHW a try since everyone seems to like it and it would give me a chance to try something new. I've never played any of the other games and the idea of studying a monster and learning how to kill it sounds interesting. I also know a lot of people like this franchise so that might help get me more views on my livestream.

So that's my conundrum. I love the DW series, but MHW might help boost the views on my YouTube channel. Don't think I'd be getting MHW just for the possible views. If I didn't have a genuine interest in the game I wouldn't be considering it

Monster Hunter World seems interesting. But the hunt never ends. I am sure it would be a great coop game but I dont think I would get it.

I'd give MHW a recommendation. Never played a Monster Hunter game before now, but it's pretty good.

This was my take going into it, but the game is really about 90% killing (or capturing) and 10% studying. The monsters will leave tracks / scratch marks / mucus you can find. Once you've found a few of those you've got these 'flies' that basically draw a bright green line to the target. Then it's just about bashing it to death. Certain parts of the monster might be more resistant to damage, but you figure that out pretty quickly.

I've decided on DW9. I'll eventually get MHW, but I'll get it used so that way if I don't like it, I can return it at full price
