NIFE enchantments notes

Just writing this up on my breaks because I'm bored.

This plugin creates Enchantments, which are groups of auras (equipment effects) that can be assigned to multiple items, characters, or rooms (maybe for a cost).

Each enchantment has:

* A type (armor, weapon, character, room)

* A cost (some amount of some stat, or 0 cost).

* A list of auras that it applies.

* Some number of enchantment tags to classify them together.

Enchantments can then either be Knowledge that's assigned to players via the Knowledge system, or can be attached to one or more Enchanting Tables, which are fixtures that make Enchanting available to you.

There are events and weapon aura effects that:

  • Disenchant a specific enchantment tag.

  • Disenchant a specific aura effect (like increasing health)

  • Disenchant the entire entity.

    There are 1 Replies

    Entities that can be enchanted can make use of "Enchantment Slots", which limit the amount of enchantments they can have. The enchantment slot thing is just a stat, so potions, events and auras can alter it freely.
