My thoughts on Hellsing Ultimate
Posted: Posted November 29th by -Riku-

So I have finished watching Hellsing Ultimate. The beginning was definitely rushed. If I didn't already know who the characters were and what was going on thanks to TeamFourStar's Hellsing Ultimate abridged, I'm pretty sure I would have been confused. Also, Walter's...transition in the final episodes isn't explained very well. I THINK I know why he did what he did, but I'm not 100% certain. Then there's the "dream" bits where Seras and Alucard are visited by the spirit of their guns. Like, what WAS that? I'm really confused by it. Other than those three complaints, I really can't list any negatives about this show.

Alucard, Integra, Seras, Walter, and Anderson are all memorable characters that are a lot of fun to watch. I like how Anderson and Alucard are two sides of the same coin, as it should be between archrivals. The animation is the best I have ever seen. The amount of detail that went into it is movie quality and it never feels overwhelming. The action is top notch and easily surpasses anything I've seen before in any form of animation. All the unapologetic violence, gore, and cussing is a breath of fresh air. This anime was clearly aimed for a mature audience and it doesn't hold back.

If you have the Funimation app or you can find this 10 episode OVA in good quality, I HIGHLY recommend you check this show out
