“So I Just tried the new smash Bros. Feels different. Like every move was a bit delayed. Moving around was slower. Could have been controller lag though maybe. They had us using switch pro controllers, or whatever they're called.”

“They made it so you can't move around for so long with shield dodging. The more you keep shield dodging, the slower you get“

“Also it seemed a lot harder to blast opponents off into the sky. The flight velocity after you hit them slows down mid flight so they don't go as far.”

“Overall felt strange. I blame the controller though. Haha we'll have to give it another try on a GameCube controller when it comes out”

“Really cool that they're bringing back all the old characters and stuff though!”

I don't see this as a problem at all.

prob bc it's not a problem at all

impressions from people who play smash seem to be generally positive, sorta like a more fast-paced smash 4. The details are obviously way more in-depth than that, but given that this is literally hands-on time to get feedback and change things, I wouldn't worry. Sakurai already said there are changes he plans to make *coughbrokenetta*[/i.

besides, Zelda is cuter (and doesn't freefall out of Din's Fire), and Palutena's tilts don't take ten seconds anymore. Clearly we're on the right track.

And we still have almost six months until release date (assuming, of course, that they don't delay this like they did Brawl). A lot can happen in six months.

I'm not worried about it, either. Punishing players for spamming shield dodge is a GOOD thing, as it nudges players into the direction of offensive/aggressive play....like Project M and Melee.

I'm very optimistic about this one! Hoping it will be the best official Smash game to date!
