More bad news for Dark Matter
Posted: Posted November 19th, 2017 by The Fly

Been reading some not very good news regarding the evidence for Dark Matter -- which is supposed to be the dominant form of matter than the baryonic form of matter we're made of and familiar with (like protons, neutrons, electrons, photons, etc). The hunt for the dark matter particles and the structures that they were expected to present do not show up in experiments and observations (even carefully crafted experiments).

“We do not understand how the Universe works at a deeper and more profound level than most of us care to admit,” says Stacy McGaugh, an astrophysicist at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio.

Well yeah. Dark matter has always been nothing more than an "aether" theory -- it must exist because we don't understand our observations of missing mass otherwise!

My personal pet theory is just that there's some other fundamental force that drives the behavior of things on very large scales.
