Michael Cohen had as a client Fox News host Sean Hannity, Cohen's lawyers were forced to reveal in a Manhattan federal courtroom on Monday.

Cohen, a lawyer for President Donald Trump, was present at a hearing where his attorneys challenged the FBI’s seizure last week of documents he claims are protected by attorney-client privilege. The lawyers told a judge last week that “thousands” of seized documents may be privileged, but they declined to name Cohen’s clients.

On Monday, the lawyers wrote to the judge that Cohen had three recent clients: President Donald Trump; Republican fundraiser Elliott Broidy, for whom he negotiated respective non-disclosure agreements with alleged mistresses; and a third unnamed individual.

Calling the third client a “publicly prominent individual,” Cohen’s attorney, Steve Ryan, offered to disclose the name only to Judge Kimba Wood.

“I’m simply trying to protect the privacy of that individual,” he said.

After much discussion, Judge Wood ruled that the name must be publicly disclosed immediately.

“The client's name is Sean Hannity,” Harrison said, to audible gasps and laughter in the courtroom.

While Hannity said he has sought legal advice from Cohen, he said Cohen “never represented me in any matter.” Hannity said on Twitter the advice was “almost exclusively about real estate.”

Hannity added via a spokesperson that he “assumed those conversations were confidential, but to be absolutely clear they never involved any matter between me and a third party.”

On his radio show following the news, Hannity didn’t say why he worked with Cohen. Though he said he may have “handed Cohen ten bucks” to establish attorney-client privilege, Hannity said he never worked with him on “any specific matter.”

Further, the Fox News host added that the advice he sought was unrelated to “any matter with him between me and a third party.”

“I think it’s pretty funny,” he said. “It’s very strange to have my own television network have my name up on the lower third.”

Ten bucks? Fucking rich people, I swear to God. Usually, I hear about people doing this with one cent or, at most, one dollar.

Will the FBI interview Hannity or raid his Fox News office with a warrant?

I’m sure regular Americans who are struggling to feed their families and keep the lights on and whose concerns are routinely ignored by the government and both major parties will care deeply about this.

its okay to have an illegitimate president as long as he panders to the various struggling american citizens across our nation.

Everyone panders, including Trump. No one does shit. And Democrats/establishment Repubs are busy sniffing their own farts.

I distinctly remember the democrats tackling unemployment when Osama was in office.

I cant speak for your state but the democrats here have made great strides in California with a few hicups along the way.

Eh. I mean, Cali is alright, but frankly throwing the plebs an occasional bone isn’t good enough for me. Speaking of which, you guys gotta primary Dianne Feinstein asap. Here is what Americans need and largely want and what any liberal/progressive/sane party should advocate for - universal health care, universal education, a living wage, money out of politics, ending the drug war, and that is only the tip of the iceberg. Average Americans have just been used to shitty, damaging policies for so long that anything sensible seems like fantasy land. Basically, working class America has Stockholm syndrome with its own government, and it is damn sad to watch.

For senate? or a presidential run.

The Dems need to get their shit together and go for a likable cadidnate. (Biden Please, or Joe Kennedy) If they want to win. While I agree that we need those policies from the point of view of a progressive republican modern America is not ready for them. In another 10 years? Yes! But right now the cry of the baby boomers is still too loud to get anything done.

For Senate. Alison Hartson 2018!

Feinstein would get her ass handed to her even against Trump lol. Honestly, unless they go with a grassroots candidate who accurately represents the views of the base (as in not an establishment type candidate like Hillary was), a Dem victory in 2020 will have to rely on the anti-Trump fervor and sheer luck. I’d maybe vote for Biden if he got onboard with Medicare for all though. Joe Kennedy can eat a dick from what I’ve seen of him. Also I don’t think likability is that important, just look at the last election. Hillary tried way too hard to be likable while Trump basically said “fuck that, I am me and I am tremendous!” I think the word you might be looking for is authenticity or maybe sincerity. After all the fake, polished, professional politicians that have been fed to us for decades, people find sincerity refreshing, especially now that we have authentic voices coming from places like YouTube and independent media constantly; Famov can complain about them all they want, but millenials can spot fakeness and bullshit non-statements like no other generation before them. This is why they continually reject people like Hillary Clinton.

I like Joe. Plus the Kennedy name is enough to sway some voters imo.

I'm expecting a marginal victory or a marginal defeat next election.

Joe would have done extremely well in the 90s. But not in today’s political climate. By and large, people no longer want polished professionals who perpetuate the status quo and carry on family dynasties.

Which is sad. Trump could easily be beaten in a landslide if Democrats would do what I and anyone who pays attention has been telling them to do - own your liberalism, actually advocate for those left wing policy positions which are massively popular with voters of every variety (except for a few ancient, socially conservative people and rich ivory tower types), stop taking corporate PAC money, etc.

I disagree. He would have mopped the floor with Trump and won the last election. I dont want to sound like a dick but he has no family dynasty to carry on (Didnt he survive all his children?)

I agree and disagree. It would be great if the democrats focus on those things. But there are plenty of Americcans who side with one political party due to a single issue. You cant talk about free health care for all and support abortion. Just like you cant be against abortion and be pro death penalty its hypocrtical as fuck. There are enough single issue voters to ensure a victory for the right.

What we need in all honesty is a coalition of progressive democrats and conservatives to rally behind one candidate. A number of my right wing friends like Biden and Kennedy to a degree. While I agree that a political dynasty is not what this country needs, a part of me feels that it would be best especially if that individual supports progressive social views.

I get the feeling that by 2024. U.S. citizens will be tired of Presidents who came out of nowhere and promised to shake things up. We saw a severe disdain towards Obama by the right. (Which baffles me because he was far more moderate than liberal) and we are seeing a severe disdain towards trump by any one with a brain by those on the left, moderates, and lite-conservatives.

Fuck Clinton though. While I liked Welfarest Sanders he was a little too extreme for a number of voters. The fact that he associated himself with socialism when he isnt really a socialist and the fact that the average American cant differentiate between socialism and Nazism did more harm than good.

I blame the former on his own personal stupidity and the latter on the stupidity of the American public.
