is that the whole thing? it seems to end abruptly. i know the fbi was weary about this coming out because they said it could leave out some important information that might temper some of the points brought up in it. who knows.

to be precise though, this is about fisa warrants against carter page, not trump.

FBI Warns Republican Memo Could Undermine Faith In Massive, Unaccountable Government Secret Agencies

Once again Nunes and the GOP are trying to discredit the FBI investigation and through selection and omission of facts create false narrative.

We all know where this is leading. It's either going to end with Rosenstein and Mueller getting fired, and it's up to America to take drastic action, or by the time the investigation is over Trump and the GOP are going to use the doubt they're sowing now to ignore the judgement.

#85, why so much hate for people who don't suck Trump's dick?

The Democrats and various government bodies fought awfully hard to suppress information that's now apparently no big deal, don't worry about it. How does what's in this memo pose a national security risk? Can anyone say? I feel like they overplayed their hand on this one. It suggests to me that the memo possesses some fragments of useful information that they did not want to become public.

If this is meant to discredit the investigation or its leadership under the squeaky clean, Republican (and Republican appointed!) war hero Robert Mueller then I don't quite see how. There are in fact a lot of things this doesn't say, and a lot that laymen like us can't know. But let's look at the most basic allegation: If it is true that surveillance warrants were issued on the basis of the Steele dossier then that is frankly ridiculous, if not criminal.

"Did you read the actual FISA applications," Baier asked, referring to the documents that the memo cites in part as evidence of improper conduct by US law-enforcement officials.

"No, I didn't," Nunes

James Comey responds to the Nunes memo: “That’s it?”

Yes, I saw the same Huffington Post headline. I suppose Jim Comey has found his new calling on twitter, where if nothing else he can no longer undermine the American electoral process.

Is that suppose to be some kind of childish dismissal of your fellow registered republican or something?

Obviously my point is the "Memo" didn't live up to anything remotely close to what Republicans, Trump or Nunes claimed it would be. Actually Trump is still claiming how devastating that silly memo is and that it cleared him of any suspicion. lol.

You really don't expect rightwing nutjobs to actually know anything about the actual topic do you?

Wikipedia says as early as 2014:

In 1998, Page joined the Eurasia Group, a strategy consulting firm, but left three months later. In 2017, Eurasia Group president Ian Bremmer recalled on his Twitter feed that Page's strong pro-Russian stance was "not a good fit" for the firm and that Page was its "most wackadoodle" alumnus. Stephen Sestanovich later described Page's foreign-policy views as having "an edgy Putinist resentment" and a sympathy to Russian leader Vladimir Putin's criticisms of the US. Over time, Page became increasingly critical of US foreign policy toward Russia, and more supportive of Putin, with a US official describing Page as "a brazen apologist for anything Moscow did". Page is frequently quoted by Russian state television, where he is presented as a "famous American economist". In 2013, Russian intelligence operatives attempted to recruit Page, and one described him as enthusiastic about business opportunities in Russia but an "idiot". News accounts in 2017 indicated that because of these ties to Russia, Page had been the subject of a FISA warrant in 2014, at least two years earlier than was indicated in the stories concerning his role in the 2016 Presidential campaign of Donald Trump.

Just based off this, I'd suggest that Carter "wackadoodle" Page is bad news and probably someone that's easy to justify getting a warrant on. Not that the FBI should be using unsubstantiated partisan research to that or any other end.

Is that suppose to be some kind of childish dismissal of your fellow registered republican or something?

Well, yes, but in my defense my fellow registered Republican deserves to be dismissed out of hand for both undermining the American electoral process and self aggrandizing in the most obvious way on twitter. Buy his book, in stores now!

Well in that case, is he willing to dismiss the GOP for drafting, supporting and voting to release this childish memo that is nothing more than echoing Trump's obstruction and whining about the Russia investigation running its course?

Funny that Comey would say it's nothing when he is the one who hired a foreign agent to fabricate Intel with the purpose to obtain phoney warrants, which his signature is on.

He can laugh his way to a jail cell.

You mean the deep state Obama appointees in the FBI spying on citizens for fraudulent reasons ? You were the biggest whiner about the patriot act, now it's ok because trump was the target.
