I'm buying a GPD XD Plus, how well does it emulate?

Tomorrow I'm buying a GPD XD Plus off of and It's marked down to $222 and it'll go back up to $250 in a few days and I was wondering how great the emulation is? My phone runs emulators great but the controller I have for it, sucks. It doesn't even have a d-pad and it takes like 2 minutes, just to connect. It's a MOGA Piviot. My old phone had major problems detecting it but my Galaxy S8 seems to detect it fine. Another reason why I'm buying this, is because there has been talks lately about the Virtual Console for the Nintendo Switch getting scrapped in favor of these indie games. While I don't think they're bad games, I'm just not interested in them. I mean it could be worse! It could still be 2008, when we had a lot of Wii and DS shovelware. But to be honest, I only play them a few times and that's it. Classics always have me coming back for more. Even the NeoGeo and arcade games on the Switch don't even intrigue me that much, aside from the Nintendo arcade ones. Also, I'm not very satisfied with the emulation on the N3DS. Most of the emulators vary from so-so to crap and the GPD XD Plus is similar to the 3DS and even looks like it and has better CPU and everything.

How good is the emulation for N64, PS1, DC, DS, and PSP? Do they run flawlessly w/o any slowdowns, graphical glitches, or sound distortion? I heard that Dolphin doesn't work that well for some reason. My S8 phone runs Dolphin, almost flawlessly.

I am thinking about getting a galaxy tab s2 or s3, because the aspect ratio is 4:3 which means it will be a tiny device with lots of screen space for classic games and it can synch up easily over bluetooth to a ps4 or xbox one controller, and there are even bluetooth n64 controllers now.

Another interesting thing is that snapdragon 835 and above can run dolphin (gamecube/wii) emulators reasonably well now and the samsung tab s4 is supposed to sport one, so you might be able to play melee or windwaker on the bus very soon. Possibly even brawl and skyward sword.

Nintendo should really get out ahead of this and release gamecube titles on the switch already.

To answer your question though, the GPD 1 is far inferior to the newer one they have recently released, but it's good for streaming games from your gaming PC, and it should be able to handle emulators from nes to ps1, n64 and possibly even dreamcast and psp/gba. Don't expect it to run PS2 or Gamecube though.

Just got it today and so far, not good. It keep crashing and rebooting on me. This even happens when I'm transferring files via USB. The OS is kinda buggy. Do I need to install LegacyROM? I have the GPD XD Plus model, not the original one.
