I switched back to Chrome from Firefox
Posted: Posted December 8th, 2018 by Vandy

And it feels nice. I originally switched from Chrome to Firefox about a year and a half ago. Originally Firefox felt more snappy than Chrome had felt. But over time, Firefox began to feel sluggish. I'm also pretty ingrained into the Google ecosystem so I like having my browser in sync with everything. Also the compatibility with Chromecast is convenient since I cast most of my sports to the TV from my laptop.

Chrome is nice! I'm wondering if anyone here uses Microsoft Edge, since it claims to be faster :|

I haven't used Edge since it first came out. I tried it back then and it was a piece of ****. It was slower than both Chrome & Firefox and it didn't seem to work properly with a lot of sites. Haven't gone back to it since, I am sure it has improved but knowing Microsoft it'll have some other weird quirk or won't have improved all that much.

I'm pretty sure Edge lacks in customization and add-ons in comparison to Chrome and Firefox, regardless if it's a little faster.

Chrome has pretty much taken over as the browser of choice, if not for speed, than definitely for usability and everything else. Though it is more memory-intensive, that seems to be a plus for speed. Also, it lowers CPU usage on many tabs: better battery life on laptops, less heating on desktops.

Edge is garbage and I constantly have to tell people not to use it at work.

I use to use FireFox but It was slow and not as well secured than Chrome so thatís all I use now.

I use Opera. I think the claims from rival companies about their browsers is overstated, and the variance between yhem is minimal in reality. I just want the least instrusive browser personally.

Edge is irritating if only for its constant badgering about one thing or another.

I haven't used Edge since it first came out.

It also seems Edge now is possibly going transform into a Chrome Clone.

I personally use Firefox at Home and Chrome at work. Going to have to agree that Firefox isn't what it used to be.
