Now what? What do I do with this? What are some of the good... I believe they're called... video games?

I ordered Pokemon online!!!

There are 6 Replies

Super Mario Odyssey, Smash Ultimate, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Luigi's Mansion 3, Yooka-Laylee, these would all be games I'd recommend.

Pokemon Sword and Shield is a disappointment. Unless you like long dialogues that are slow, child play and not that many great pokemon to choose from. I'd wait for Sword and Shield 2 (like what they did to black and white, maybe?) or a new Pokemon game series.

I'm just done with video games. At least with Nintendo. I may get that PS5 next year, but we'll see.

Pokemon Sword and Shield looks alright to me. It pales in comparison with the older games in the series imo, but it's not as bad as everyone's making it out to be.

I will wind up getting it at some point, but I started playing Final Fantasy XIV so that doesn't help lol.

I pretty much agree with Black Yoshi on Smash Brothers Ultimate, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Super Mario Odyssey.

I'd also recommend Crash Team Racing Nitro Fueled if you were bigger int othat game on the PS1. Though the unfortunate part of it is they added Microtransactions to it. That and on Switch it's stuck to 30 FPS (which is not the worst thing in the world tbh).

I found I was earning plenty of coins from online races that I didn't really care about their being microtransactions in it, though my opinion is there should never be microtransactions. It's certainly one of the fairer systems for earning everything through gameplay at any rate.

Can't say I even noticed the FPS was locked at 30, guess if I went from it to a 60 FPS version I'd notice but I'm really not sure why some people have a problem with 30 FPS.

Yea it's just another standard Pokémon game except this time it's doesn't have 100% all of the Pokémon. The story is certainly less obnoxiously in your face like it was in Sun/Moon stopping you every five minutes so it has that going for it :)

I'm really enjoy it. The gym battles have to be my favourite in any game just for the atmosphere. Love the crowd cheering and the battle music they went with. Dynamax is totally a gimmick but it's an entertaining gimmick, and that's not something I thought I would say based on the trailers :P

Also I'm not sure why anyone is bothered about half the Pokémon being missing when there's a far greater crime. This is an even numbered generation that did not add an Eeveelution. Am I the only one who thinks this is unforgivable?

It's no a deal breaker for me. I just know some people have problems with this. I do know it's 30 FPS as I am able to compare it to the PS4 version and notice the frame rate difference right away.

I tend to like to play my PC games at 60 FPS so I tend to notice the difference between the two, but really I would rather want a stable frame rate vs having everything be at 60 FPS.

Yea I don't really notice the difference between 30fps and 60fps unless I immediately go from one to the other, or if I've played the same game at one speed and the played the game another time at a different one.

A good example is Mario Kart 8 on WiiU. When just playing split screen with my friends I didn't really notice it was 30fps, but the one day I went back to SP and everything felt fast and it was only then that I realised.

Meanwhile my PC games mostly all run at 60fps so you'd think my eyes would be used to it.
