Has anyone here tried to hack a Super Nintendo Classic?
Posted: Posted December 13th, 2018 by I killed Mufasa

I have hacked one and added games to it, and I gave that one to my sister as a gift. But on that occasion I only added snes games to it. Apparently you can add gba, nes, genesis, gb, even n64, and possibly some other systems I am not thinking of. I just received a new snes classic in the mail and it's going to be my project for the day to hack the crap out of it.

I'm Guessing you used hakchi2?

I've only added more SNES games using hakchi2 but I have seen videos of people adding all those other games. Let me know how it goes on your project and what you had to use to do it.

Edit: I think I remember reading somewhere about retroarch being used to add more games from other systems. I could be wrong though.

Yes I did.

Haha I got distracted and started a new file on skyrim but I'll let you know when I get to it.

long live the king

Wow! That would be awesome! Does it keep the same menu, or did the interface change?

When I did it with snes games the layout didn't change, and it was quite simple to do once I had the roms I wanted. (And now I have an sd card with literally every snes, gba, gb, genesis, nes game on it.)

Why does this site seem even more dead than it did a month ago?

No more sensationalism.

No more anything. Null seems to be gone, I haven't seen Jet Presto, and the past two days have been slow as a slug here.

How many games have you added to your snes classic? I think Iíve added about 40 or so. There are some games I couldnít add to it without installing another program which would remove some features so I havenít done that.

I added like maybe 20 to my sister's. The line up they send you is actually pretty solid but I wanted things like super mario all stars, the entire donkey kong trilogy, and some sports games I enjoyed back then. And yeah I don't think I'll try to add the entire snes line up because I'll never care to play them all.

This time I just want to add like, the same snes games I added to hers, and also the pokemons from gb and gba, some pokemon rom hacks, sonic 1-2, and honestly that would make me pretty happy. Might add like mortal kombat this time, or mario kart 64 if it will behave and play well.

I added the other 2 DKC and Mario Allstars as well. I also added Megaman X2 and X3, Final Fight 1-3, Breath of fire 1 and 2, Chrono Trigger, Top Gear 1 and 2 and a bunch of other random games.

I've hacked my SNES Classic and added SNES games, NES games, Sega Master games, Genesis games, and Gameboy Advance games.

To easily play all those great games in HD on my television was the only reason I bought an SNES Classic.

For Genesis, obviously, the Sonic the Hedgehog trilogy and Knuckles goes without saying.

Phantasy Star IV

X-Men 2: Clone Wars

Vectorman

Vectorman 2

Shining Force

Shining Force 2

Gunstar Heroes (SUPER FUN with a friend)

Rocket Knight Adventures

Road Rash 3

Ghostbusters

Comix Zone

Crusader of Centy

....Just to name a few to get you started.

For the MasterSystem, one game that comes to mind is Golden Axe Warrior.
