Some things I noticed while watching:
Beginning is similar to the beginning of Halo 1 when you crash land on the Halo Ring.
The assault rifle looks like the one from Halo Reach, where are all other Halo games besides Reach looked more like the AR from Halo 1.
Has a Map system like the one seen in Halo 3 ODST
The SMG used seems to be similar to Halo 3 ODST
Has equipment similar to whats seen in Halo 3
The Mangler that master chief picks up is very similar to the Mauler from Halo 3
I'm really interested to see how they are going to tie the ending of Halo 5 into this game and if we will see the return of Hover and Ground Pound as I didn't see any of that in the trailer.

Yea honestly that's the only thing I was left thinking about after this. The gameplay just looked very Halo, nothing struck me as particularly interesting (not that very Halo is a bad thing in this case, just nothing really new). Based on what we saw so far it makes no sense as a follow up to how Halo 5 ended :P
That and the graphics in the livestream looked pretty behind the times, though it looks like it was an older build as they've since released a trailer that shows similar scenes with better visuals.
Also those yellow hex tiles for the shield hits need toning down. They add too much visual clutter.

Also as an addition that's not completely related to just Halo, but Microsoft are doing a very poor job of explaining why anyone should want their new console. Nothing they showed yesterday struck me as "next gen", it all looked like it will run just fine on current consoles.
Not that it affects me as I'll just buy what I want on PC, but it struck me as a little odd.

Yeah I noticed that too. I really wonder what Halo Infinite will look like on my OG X1 VCR.

I think that is their whole focus. They don't care how you play, as long as you are playing the games. You can play on PC, or really any device with soon-to-be Xcloud.

Sure, but they're also releasing a shiny new console that is supposedly far more capable than anything else they've ever released and so far they've shown no games to reflect that.
I think it's great that Microsoft are trying to support as many platforms (that they own at least) as they can, but this felt like the perfect opportunity for them to showoff why people should care about their next generation of consoles and they completely failed. Everything shown looked like it was running on an Xbone if I'm completely honest.

Yeah there is really no selling point to either of the new consoles. Time for a shift in hobbies.
