What is this Funposting and how does one Funpost?

It's pretty much a nicer way of saying shitposting.

It's pretty much you just do whatever you want, but typically in a random and pointless way. But for fun! Like how I just posted all those emoticons together.

Omg are you a FE fan too or did you just find that pic?

More of a recent fan but I've yet to play this one (or any of the other Japanese ones). I have played 7 though and I knew who that was when I saw them.

New fan huh?

Well that's fine. Though let me tell you if you get your hands on a copy of path of radiance or radiant dawn, keep them. They're expensive and rare as fuck now and radiant dawn is also my favorite in the series.

Actually I do have both of those games (both complete) and I knew PoR sells for like $100+ complete. Didn't know about RD. I played PoR when it came out and beat it. Grabbed Radiant Dawn on release day and it's still mint I believe, I just didn't have time to play it because I was in my senior year and college was soon (still haven't lmao, time got away from me). Didn't play for a long while and then played 7 and Awakening. Still wanted to snatch Sacred Stones and finish RD. I'd still call myself "new" just because I started getting into the lore within the last few years.

You can use your real name if you want though, I have already saw it in the people tab anyway ha. But ya, not having time for fun sucks. But ya RD is great and you should definitely finish it if you get the chance. Sacred Stones is alright.

Funposting = FE talking.

Yeah, I have been aiming harder at completing games but I tend to slog through FE games. Mainly if anyone dies I restart which happened dozens of times in PoR. I also read everything and have to talk to every character and get every party member. I've heard RD is even harder and that's why it has a bad rep compared to other games. Since I had barely finished PoR without anyone dying I think I also got intimidated and put it off.

Don't worry I do too. The devs intended for you to not restart but man. It can get extremely hard if not impossible depending on the characters you lose. Plus it doesn't feel that great allowing them to die anyway. And ya I tried to read everything as well.

Also some parts of it are much harder than others. It's not terribly hard throughout at least in my opinion.

You may have a lot of trouble with the dawn brigade parts of the story, but a lot of the rest of it may be a breeze to average difficulty depending on how good you are.

I still have FE: Path of Radiance, still unopened. I have had it for 11 years but never got around to playing it. And now it's worth over $300 new:
https://www.amazon.com/Fire-Emblem-Path-Radiance-Gamecube/dp/B000AOEU2K/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1513715925&sr=8-1&keywords=fire+emblem+path+of+radiance
Not sure if I want to keep it and play it or sell it.

Jesus, that's awesome Q!

I will say that it's a great game. If you're into those kinds of games it's one of the best ones imo. If conditions of items don't matter to you, you could always sell the game and then buy a disc only version and play that.

Plus it doesn't feel that great allowing them to die anyway.

It never does. I even set my Awakening to the same old rules but at least in Awakening you could effectively level up by doing battles. In the other games there was no way to play and level up with everyone so you didn't have time to bullshit around. You had to stick with your party members.

Yeah, Honestly I am not sure. Part of me wants to hold onto it to see how much higher the price of it new goes.

I follow some old school collecting a bit (NES/SNES) and if they ever decide to put gamecube games on the estore then the prices of those games go down dramatically. Happened to Earthbound, happened to Conker, could happen here. One of the main reasons they are high in the first place is because it's hard to get copies or to play it in general. Once it's more widely available it starts declining.

Yes. He told me I gave it to him. that was a decade ago.

Haha. "Friends", am I right? Though I guess I was tempted to do that when I was a teenager when someone let me borrow shadow the hedgehog.

I had a high school chum borrow Pikmin 2 for him to play. I kept casually asking for it back and he kept saying he would. Then like after 8 months had gone by I asked for it again and he said to a good friend of mine that I was being "really anal". I never asked after that point and then like 8 years later my good friend saw him and asked him and he said he gave it back (he didn't of course). I eventually went and bought the game again. After this I never let people borrow my games really unless I was sure.

Had another person borrow No More Heroes that my brother lent out and they returned it disc only, saying they threw away the case and manual because it's just "packaging".

Why not "poopyposting"?

Because that's not as FUN. And it makes it sound even worse really because who says poopy?

"I let my friend borrow path or radiance and he never returned it. "

I've let friends borrow games that I never got back, which is why I don't lend games anymore.

True, but with Chorno Trigger that had a re-release on the PS1 and DS as well as the iOS and Android still goes for over $150 online. But yeah, I am sure that if it were to ever hit Virtual Console the price of the original would go down some. But we have yet to see any news from Nintendo on any kind of GC virtual console, even though I would love that.

What is it with friends not giving games back?

Posted December 20th, 2017 by KnokkelMillennium
KnokkelMillennium

Yeah friends and acquaintances. I remember when I was 16 or 17 I let a friend borrow Mario Kart and F-Zero along with a couple other SNES games. He then let one of his friends borrow them without asking me and then they were "Stolen". He gave me a few snes games to cover them but they weren't as good and I'm sure were acquired under similar shady circumstances so I stop letting him borrow games.
