Like island tour, I won't get it unless it has online play. 10 doesn't even have online play for the wiiu yet I got it hoping my friends would want to play it with me.

I'll be getting it regardless. The Party Guest thing is a step in the right direction with regard to online play.

I didn't get Mario party 9 because I heard that the rules were like that of wii party's which was stupid as hell imo. I did however get Mario party ds back in the day because I thought it would be good and thought it would have online play too. I enjoyed the single player mode. The only real thing that i didn't like about the game (and hated) was having to use the stylus for most of its mini games. And that one DK board map (why have one when he isn't even a playable character in the game?) where you could purchase as many stars that you could afford (stars being worth 20 coins each). I also got Mario party 8 because I thought it would be fun to play it with my friends. I hated having to use the motion senaored controls for the majority of its mini games and the side controls were hard to get used to as well. Also that one koopa board map where stars were free and there was a heaven space which gave the characters numerous cons and a star at the very end of the map on that screen and ? mark spaces knocked you back to the very beginning of the map if you landed on them were all WAY too abusive and totally based on luck imo just like chance time was on the previous Mario parties.
