Black and White is a great aesthetic for old butt ugly games

Right now I have my ps3 hooked up to a really old CRT which has dials that can change the color and brightness and all that good stuff. I set the brightness to high and the color to 0 and games like Final Fantasy 8 and 9 suddenly look amazing and have a whole new feel to them. Even though the resolution of the tv is probably like 240 p or something stupid like that, everything jumps out. I tried playing GTAV in 4:3 aspect ratio and it was like playing an old school movie, it was fun. And when I hooked up Black Ops 2, I found my KD ratio actually went up because it was blatantly obvious when someone appeared on my screen because there wasn't as much camoflage or anything like that going on. Probably due to max brightness. But it's really just the classic games like final fantasy, chrono trigger, that just have a whole new life breathed into them.

Final fantasy 9 on mobile looks amazing too. It was a little pricey but i figured I can at least buy 1 game every once in a awhile. And ff9 is the best game ever made

Yeah I bought FF9 for ios and I find the controls wonky. I'd like to hook up a controller.

long live the king

I have found that any game ported to mobile that is used to relying on an analog stick, d-pad, or anything like those often feels weird at first. That's how I've felt when playing Bully and KOTOR.
